Bought one and the direction of ratcheting doesn’t change and is stuck on loosening only :/

Ive seen conflicting data concerning the extension shaft some say it's removable others say it is not. Mine does not appear to be removable

It appears to be two different models, I think the one that has the removable shaft is DWHT66567 and is slightly more expensive than the model shown which I believe is DWHT68001

It’s dumb because they give you bits with nowhere to store them so I have to walk around with the bits in my pocket, which doesn’t make any sense?
