I love these DW productions my emotions are brought to the surface and bring me to tears, its an almost a exhorsitism of my deep sad episodes in my life due in part to my aspergers mental health condition which seriously inhibits my expression and personal relationships and clouds my real thoughts and sensivities. i used to call listening to this beautiful music "music therapy", but on second thoughts that title is not accrurate but Exorcism of my repressed emotions is a better discription. I find words find alone cannot reach down into my memories, but as sad that may sound its a method that works me a wonderful aesthetic way that is both pleasurable and cathartic. wish I can never thank DW and everyone associated with its existance, its artists and performers , who i admire over and over again i can never thank you enough. Sorry that have made this statement far too long but its effects puts me on such a wave of total positively, i love you all.

I have just watched another concert from a European house that was everything a concert should not be. Some of the music choices overlapped this concert, but there was a significant difference - no-one was really enjoying that one, and so it was dull in every way. Here we have a concert where every item has been carefully chosen, and every item is performed to the highest musical standard and with enthusiasm, an enthusiasm that transmits to the audience in the theatre, and then, in turn, to the viewer. Thank you for this wonderful concert (which dares to include Wagner, and at his most serious - well, almost).
