I've never listened to much Beethoven and I decided to start with Symphony 1 and work my way through. Thank you for being my first foray into this world.

You will find when you go through the Master’s symphonies you will forever and ever find new things to discover and learn. He was a musical genius.

Welch'ne herrliche musikalische Darstellung dieses Beethovens Wunders! In jedem Ton dieser Synphonie ist andaechtiger Himmelshauch zu spueren!

A very agreeable performance of this work! I've only comparatively recently become "initiated" into it, and to hear such a high-quality interpretation is to enjoy it more and more. Very well done, everybody! JAT

Here we can clearly see the difference in performance between Austria and Germany. Their performances are smooth, both in the wind and strings, and the violins and woodwinds sound truly Viennese. We need to analyze and learn more about this difference between Austria and Germany.

Absolutely, exquisitely beautiful! Music at its very best! On a disappointing note, the audience response for the conductor & orchestra was very reserved!

my fave, for 2 reasons, 1: the yin yang of humanity he writes to. Female and Male dance for the Ages. Wolfgang always speaks to this musically. War and Peace, etc. 2: The Imperial vs pastoral. (It is not intellectually complicated.) Just comprehensive. Oh almost forgot, Korngold and others used version's of Wolfgang's theme's for Hollywood movies.

The first bar of this Symphony is completely audacious. WHo starts like that? Before LVB- no one. This is one of the biggest yet so subtle statements in Classical Musical history. This is how LVB chose to start his Symphonic career.

Without geniuses this world would have no meaning....it's been 197 years since Beethoven died and her music has survived all the musical genres that exist...jejeje and the question would be...which of the current genres will last 200 years in force????... sin los genios este mundo no tendria sentido....ya hace 197 años que murio beethoven y su musica a sobrevevivido a todos los generos musicales que existen...ejejje y la pregunta seria...cual de los generosn actuales durara 200 años vigente????...

I like symphonies no. 1, 2 , 4 and 6 more than 3,5 and 7 ! Am i crazy?;
@marcraider3 ай бұрын
can't say, because I love all nine!!, for me they are part of one gigantic work, since 1 to 9 I can hear the maestro life, his struggles, his joy, his sadness, his anger, but always his triumph above all!!. I simply can't choose any one above the other, because they all tells me something different and special about my favorite composer.

I like 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 lol. 1 is fine, 4 is disappointing considering it's placement between Eroica and the 5th, and 2 is... fine. No you're not crazy, but I can't say I understand your reasoning lol!
