It makes him sound like somebody I'd want to avoid. Probably owns a Harley-Davidson. "His" chair. He doesn't need to see a professional, he needs to understand how property ownership works. Probably owns white sunglasses. Also, it isn't "ammon" anywhere in the USA except where there are people who don't know how to pronounce words correctly. What does this guy's company make? I need to avoid those products at all costs. Unless he makes chairs. Then I might buy one and take it to that restaurant.

Marty McFly John Good is the Senior Executive Vice President of DW Drums, one of the best, if not THE best, drum manufacturers in the world. How many endorsers DW has is impossible to list, but among them is the late great Neil Peart. But they make quality instruments!!!! So show some damn respect!!!!!!!

I like how he's so amazed by grafting. He's treating it like it's something incredible that hasn't been done by farmers for hundreds, if not thousands of years. My grandpa has an apple tree in his front yard which produces 6 different cultivars because of grafting. Is amazed by grafting, doesn't understand how chairs work. Amazing fellow.
@jackmills50714 жыл бұрын
Meanwhile they use very exotic woods for drums that all sound almost exactly the same. The drums are beautiful, but shell material does not influence sound as long as it's hardwood. The idea the almond sounds different than any other hardwood is almost as stupid as the guitar tonewood debate.

LOVE this video. I have been a guitar player my whole life. I have a collection of about 22 high end guitars that I adore. I know that a premium instrument can inspire one to try to become one with that instrument. My young son however wanted to be a drummer. I looked 6 months to find the perfect kit for him to own and inspire him to practice on and play. Then I saw Mr. Good's video on this kit. Then I knew it had to be this kit. I bought it for him for Christmas. When he isn't doing homework or sleeping, he's on this kit. The video above resonated with him so much and he feels closer to his kit because of the history here, and the love Mr. Good has for what he creates and does every day. Thank you John for helping to forge a fire in my son. I will always be grateful to you for your passion and love for what you do! God Bless DW Drums and Mr John Good!

DW Drums, I started playing drums at 14 after watching Song Remains the Same at a movie theatre I played until 1995 of which the last 4 years played professionally after 95 I stopped playing and just started playing again Dec 2018. I always played Ludwigs and Slingerland drums. I was leaning towards Sonor back int the day. Years later I hooked up with a 2006 collectors series kit. All I can say is amazing sound and quality. The DW hardware alone was worth the upgrade. DW drums just tune amazingly easy and sound amazing. Not putting any of the other drums down out there as I love them all but DW is definitely my choice from now on. I ordered a Purpleheart snare, and cannot wait to get that thing. Thanks to John Good and founders of DW drums, your love, and passion of the craft have been a gift to me to play DW drums and experience the quality and sound. Amazing!

one my fave drum manufactures. im just to broke to afford them after fighting with lyme disease for 20 yrs. but back when i was a teen i went to this flea market swap meet in johnstown ohio. this guy have a acme 4 pc drumset. had a really old ludwig stainless steel snare. but 3pc was acme drums on bottom it said manufactured by drum workshop. i was always proud. but i was going through a move at one time and i had 4 drumsets. my stage kit been using for on the go left piled up ready for next gig. then i had my practice kit i lugged around for practices either left at practice or set up at home. it was the acme set and a 5pc pearl. i always liked the sound them drums had so i started leaving them alone and untouched. but when i went through that move someone asked me if id sell him the drums. i did years later kicked my self cause i had found out it was early production drums dw was doing for people. i had gotten in contact with a man at keller drum shells. he gave me some of the low down :) cool guy nice and helpful. i wanted to get my shells from him and then wrap them with a veneer just also going that route the $ spent on hardware and all that goodness i just havent had the $. i picked up a electronic kit to get back to playing which yeah its helped some but its not the same as going setting up and playing a real drumkit. ive played lot kits in the past owned lots kits just never had the $ to snag up a dw kit. old band is asking me if i can get back to playing with them on new material i said all i have is the ekit which kinda isnt enough lol its a 16pc it can work for time being but not the same. they said well what kinda kit you gonna get we have this cheap pearl for like 500$ has some really crappy cracked cymbals and when i said cheap pearl i mean import series and ragged out beat up and prob warped not been taken care of drums. i said nah ima find a dw kit some how and get back to playing on them. rather spend the money on a good company who always means well. one thing i do miss is playing, writing, recording, playing shows. metal and music was my life my youtube still has some videos left from that era but also i had some deleted cause youtube said my own music some how was seen as copyright ? they never have released those videos back to my channel nor replied to my reply showing they video is evidence of my old band on stage and in studio lol. like 10 vids suspended in that list.

After watching this video, I want to indulge myself. I plan to buy a pure almond kit as a self-repair present for having my right leg out of action for almost 4+ years with chronic pain syndrome in the right hip and lower spine. There were also some other events occurring making it 6 years. This is nothing compared to the plight of many poor souls all over the world and I feel guilty thinking about spending family money but I love almonds and the story has hooked me in. After 47 years as a drummer, I want the hip, spine, and abdomen damage to heal from the latest surgery. It should take 6-12 months more. This will purchase should go ahead unless I have a guilt trip about dipping into the final savings and need to help someone. It's part of my dream and I am a bit embarrassed to talk about it but I hope it encourages someone who needs to do something to heal their mind and body through music. Thanks for reading my sappy story. Cheers. P.s. You can hand a DW drum kit like this on down through the family, like a fine piano.
