Dave Werden is the man!!....I met him once....there was this light (ok ok but it was cool)....I still cant explain it he was very calm and had military bearing. I model myself after his style, and he helped me get into my local city band with some great advice on the boards. thank you sir.

Just do a search for this on KZbin: Trumpet Articulation (6): Double Tongue It will help you get started.

This is truly an outstanding solo to play! I'm in 10th grade and I got a straight superior rating at District Solo and Ensemble. My State Solo and Ensemble Festival is in March, so I'm hoping to receive a superior at the state level! :)

Dave Werden's version is the benchmark...... period. I style my own playing of this piece after his. Do that, and you will be better for it.

This is probably the best version of this song that will ever be. Put it in the records. The Coast Guard put it all in on this one.

I just added a link to purchase the music in the description above. Just click the "Show More" link and you will see it. It was originally a cornet solo, so the solo part is treble clef.

Learning this solo as a Junior. I'm using David as a backup to make sure I'm playing it right. Lol

Could someone show me how to double tongue on Euphonium?

When you tongue a note use the syllable DA and then quickly after use the syllable GA. You need to use a good amount of air and move the tongue really fast.
