The setup was perfect with the second interviewer. Her office was so feminine, pink, soft lighting, flowers and butterflies. Then Dwight uses such aggressive descriptions.

This scene works on so many levels, it shows Dwights insatiable nature, how hard working and passionate he is, but it also shows how a “Dwight” may not work in every setting. The levity that Micheal brings to work offsets Dwights rigid personality and allows him to perform at his most Dwightiest

The writing in the pink office scene is so air tight. It's sort of like a boxer delivering a devastating combination. "Alpha male" is a diversionary feint, "Jackhammer" is a brutal shot to the body and "Merciless" is the knockout blow. "Insatiable" is the victory lap.

I was able to relate with Dwight in this episode. Last year, my family bought a new house in the spring and we were going to move in during the summer because we’d be on summer break from school and college. I didn’t have a job yet and needed to get one asap so I can financially help my family once we move in. All I had to pay for was our phone bill, internet bill, and gas and electricity bill which would usually be less than $500. Anyways I spent like two months going for a job interview each week. I went to solo interviews and also group interviews. These mfers told me that they’d let me know either by the end of the day or week through a phone call. Every day I’d nervously sit down with my phone for hours expecting a call. But I’d get nothing. I wouldn’t even mind if they hired me or not. I just wanted an answer. It was also during the summer and I live in NYC so I kinda knew finding a job around this time would be very difficult. Anyways two weeks before we were gonna start moving in to our new house I got a call from a coffee and pastry shop asking if I could come for an interview. I replied back saying yes and then went in my room and cried for a few minutes because I was just happy I got a job somewhere. I passed the training and was hired there pretty quickly. It was an easy job for the most part. I just had to make coffees and lattes and bake muffins and other pastries. The job market is getting worse each day.
