Bron single-handedly wasted the last year of dwade prime if you say otherwise you don’t know basketball. Their first year together was poetic until the finals. Wade tried to carry the load all year up to the last game of the finals. Outside of 06, 08-09. This year he showcased every faucet of his hall of fame game. Slashing, midrange, deep ball, crafty passing and finishing along with some pesty lockdown defense. Bron , you are the goat, but you bogus as hell for that 2011 finals performance bruh🤣🤣💯

Lebron choking on 2011 really wasted the last year where Wade was easily top 3 in the league.
dwyane wade is the only player in nba history to average 26 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks and shoot at least 50% from the field in a single finals series. he did it in the 2011 finals. not even his 06 version was able to put that stat line up with that efficiency. and he put these numbers up despite his teammates denying him the ball for the last 7 minutes or so of game 2, lebron's struggles in games 3 and 4, and his hip injury which slowed him down in game 5. that's a partially injured dwyane wade (with a vastly underperforming co-superstar) putting up a stat line that no one else ever has, and on the biggest stage. but people just want to talk about 06.

I remember wade being hurt on 2008 that year he wasn’t himself if you watched you can see his explosion and quick bursts wasn’t there as much although he had a lot of moments throughout the season even Hubie Brown was quoted saying “now that’s the guy that we’d wish would come back” when wade split the defense against and dunked in game vs Chicago on a ESPN - wade still averaged almost 25 ppg, 7 apg and 5 rpg, wade missed over a quarter of the season, shaq was in and out of the lineup, jwill was hurt, the entire team main players were decimated with injuries so the front office was ended up acquiring unknown players from the d league and a bunch of 3rd stringers - the following year in the Olympics, some of the players told Mike Sheshevsky and Jerry Colangelo that wade would never be the same player he once was and then they both told wade what other players said and of course wade wanted to prove everybody wrong and that was his comeback season, he ended up leading team USA in scoring off the bench with a prime Kobe, LeBron, Melo, Cp3, Howard, Dwilliams, Bosh, Kidd, Redd, Boozer etc on his team while being a menace on defense and dunking all over defenses, was 2nd in steals and had the best field goal percentage among the wing players and doing it in 6 to 7 fewer minutes than those other stars, let’s not forget he was the closer for the most part even kobe differed in alot of high leverage moments, aka in the clinching shot in Spain, wade simply came off the bench because they didn’t know what he’d and some doubting his ability to be who he once was given he it was his first time back since coming off surgery, but he proved he was back when he caught that alley from cp3 and wind milled it, LeBron even said “yeah he back”, then go into the 09’ season and cap off a 28 win turnaround and with his 2nd option being a rookie in Beasley just averaging 13 ppg and wade still was efficient with the defense zoning in on him shooting a 49% from the field while simultaneously leading the league in scoring. For the next 3 years wade would be the best player in the league from 08-09, 09-10, 10-11, and that last prime year was his first year with LeBron who stepped aside for him, even though they stepped aside for each other not wanting to step on each other’s toe’s out of respect, but after a few practices and games - LeBron would figure out wade was the best player on the team and really in the league at that time because he knew who he was and was still at his athletic peak with ultimate confidence and a closer of the highest order, LeBron was still figuring that part out and looked up to wade as a big brother and leader that’s why wade went to every press conference with him and took the tough questions and even said he’ll wear the black cape essentially taking the onus off LeBron, wade would lead them in scoring for the entire post season and nba finals, but the proof that the onus was on wade is that his closest contemporaries still to this day hold him accountable for that finals loss because he was ultimately suppose to be the one to seal the deal for miami and show LeBron how to win a championship with LeBron riding shot gun as the passenger, problem being LeBron was in the backseat watching wade try to seal the deal himself, and it didn’t work because wade was expecting more help from LeBron and didn’t expect he’d have to do what Dirk had to do given he had LeBron and Bosh on his team, and Dallas took full advantage of that and sealed off the paint and made it hard for LeBron throwing different defenders and even smaller ones like kidd and terry at times and it’d work, a lot of that could’ve been him trying to avoid the free throw line as well but with wade - Dallas couldn’t contain him from getting to the basket and what made it easy was that he had a go to in between /mid range game that was so lethal or he can just use his quickness to blow by you even Prince said he was harder to guard than Kobe when asked in TNT interview, you’ll hear it if you watch Detroit vs Miami in the 2005 eastern conference finals video on KZbin that highlights the entire series in 30 mins, you the announces talk about how Prince stated that with Kobe, he knew he’d fade away on most of his shots so it’d be easy to contain and contest with his length and make a tough shot more difficult, and with Rasheed and Ben in the paint and the help defenses along the perimeter Prince knew Kobe wasn’t much of a blow by threat, but with wade you didn’t know what he’d do, and he can blow by you or get you to bite on his fake, very unpredictable and that was a player in his sophomore season, but this 2011 season is very easily his 3rd best year he was even better than 06 finals wade that had the greatest finals performance since Jordan

cant lie, the frame rate drops/blurry glitches throughout the vid kinda made it hurt to watch :/ but powered through it for my fav player all time. Just when i start to doubt myself about how much i hated lebron for ruining wade's career by his spawning of superteams, i watch highlights from this season. Nobody did everything as great as Wade did. And LeBron not showing up in the finals against mavs, having Wade think that the reason they lost was because he was supposed to be the support to lebron (even though he's been in south beach since his rookie year), it just reaffirms the hate for lebron all these years later. He should not have let LeBron be the first option on that team after that finals loss. Not that it was the start of Wade's decline, but it was definitely the reason for it, a couple seasons later. the next 2 seasons, the championship seasons, wade was just at a plateau/stagnate state of greatness; wasn't getting better, wasn't getting worse (although he did seem like he wasn't as aggressive or hungry, but i guess that comes with being the 2nd option on the team). I definitely think that if LeBron didn't show up to the Heat this season, or if Wade continued to be the primary option, you would have seen a much better, much more memorable, closing legacy to Wade. I don't think Wade finishes with 2 less rings if lebron didn't join. I think he still attains them. he's done it before in '06. Hell i think he gets the 2 rings WITH an even more unbelievable career stat sheet; enough numbers to back the claim that he is the 2nd best all time (yes, better than kobe, and only worse to Jordan). Now I know, Kobe is the closest thing to MJ when it comes to offense and mindset. But when you talk about the overall package, the ability to do it all, Wade is the closest: blocking shots, steals by playing the passing lane, just defense in general, assists, explosiveness, acrobatic layups/dunks, impossible shot-making ability, fadeaway, clutchness, 3 point shooting, the list goes on. It is such a shame how underrated and forgotten this dude really is. It's borderline psychotic and, dare i say, blasphemous (as a stephen A Smith person would say). Maybe Melo joining the Heat would've caused other problems that LeBron would never cause; but there's one problem Melo would never cause: choke in the finals.
