Lmao. No, he is not. And this was NOT even Kobe at his best. He was 30 here. Kobe averaged over 35 a game in 05/06. That was Kobe at his best. His last few years as #8.. And even then he STILL wasn’t “the best ever” , Jordan was FAR more skilled than Kobe ever was. Kobe tries to base so many of his moves OFF of Jordan…. MJ has TEN scoring titles. Ten. Kobe has two. TWO…. MJ literally has as many scoring titles as T-Mac, Kobe, Iverson, Wade, and LeBron ALL PUT TOGETHER lmao. Kobe is also the all-time leader in MISSED shots. LeBron is the all-time leader in TURNOVERS. MJ was better than both of them together.. MJ at the top of his game had ZERO weaknesses. Zero holes in his game at all. None…. He won the MVP, the scoring title, AND the defensive player of the year in the SAME damn season. And that wasn’t even his BEST season. That wasn’t even him at his peak yet. The dude had 7 consecutive scoring titles. Averaging over 34 a game in that 7 year stretch. Averages over 30 for his entire CAREER. Kobe’s career average is 25.0; MJ is the goat. Period. He just is. There’s no getting around it if you actually LOOK at him, look at his stats season by season, game by game, and for his entire damn career. Highest average in history with over 30pts a game. And he led the league in steals at least 3 times. Won 5 MVPs to Kobe’s 1. Won 6 FINALs MVPs to Kobe’s 2…. MJ is the goat without debate. It’s not even close.

It's crazy how people can say they love basketball or watching highest level competition but don't like if not hate a guy like Kobe. Dude went out and COMPETED, performed and played his butt off night after freaking night. Man played injured, played on BOTH ends, didn't LOAD MANAGE, didn't cheat the fans or TV viewing audience. He would have played all 82 games if his body held up. He wasn't perfect or flawless by any stretch but that man earned every right to be on any competent individual's all-time great player list.

Kobe's prime was 1999-2010. He was already the best player in the league by 2001. Sure, Shaq was the dominant Center of the team, but Kobe was the most important player on those teams even in 2000 as far as allowing them to win championships. He was not only the team's best Guard by a mile since the 1997 season, and he was the Lakers best defender by a mile as well. He guarded guys like Reggie Miller, Iverson, Kidd, Stockton, Ray Allen, Vince Carter, Tmac, MJ, Carmelo, Lebron, etc. I remember back in the 1996 playoffs against Utah, Kobe was destroying Stockton defensively as a rookie. Stockton couldn't handle Kobe's athleticism and size. Kobe was a big strong dude. Most people remember the air-balls Kobe tossed up, but there was a good reason he was allowed to take those shots. His coach at the time knew exactly what Kobe was going to become just by seeing the way he was playing defense and offense as a rookie. Kobe was just too tired to make the shots as an 18 year old coming straight out of high school.

@@afterthought6889Hakeem is a C tho, he’s not playing like a guard or wing to be out in the perimeter. U throw it to him in the post, as close as he gets to the rim, or set a screen with him to initiate offense with him. A C can start fastbreaks off of blocks, rebounds, and outlet passes too. Hakeem had some crossovers when he’d face up too and some of the best fakes, up and unders, you name it. Saying others got more ways to score down low in the post or near the hoop is crazy. Hakeem is a C who’s dominating the post. Which is all about playing as close to the rim as you can and not to mention Hakeem’s ability to shut down the paint.
@afterthought6889
@afterthought6889 Жыл бұрын
@@EnTiempo824 is it crazy? When it comes to mobility, most bigs can only compete with other bigs. MJ and Kobe can combine their mobility with shot making that just cannot be matched by any big (yet). I did say within his position (C) Hakeem is as good as it gets. He gets a lot of credit for being an innovator as a big who brought more mobility in the post than his peers at his position. Hakeem's back to the basket bag is no where near as deep as MJ or Kobe.

Kobe Bryant was the true definition of a Basketball Savant. He is the most technically proficient basketball player in NBA History. He could make any type of shot, finish at the rim, score in the low post over either shoulder, and his footwork was IMPECCABLE! His greatest attribute was his unparralled thirst to constantly update his database which allowed him to excel in multiple eras of the NBA. Combine all those ingredients with his intangibles such as his psychotic competive drive, fearlessness, leadership, will to play through injury is what made him an All-Time Great. R.I.P. To the LATE GREAT KOBE BEAN BRYANT.

Also one of his best and most underrated defensive seasons was that year in 09 should of been dpyo that year. He went to 3 Consecutive trips to the NBA Finals in the toughest Western Conference where a Houston Rockets team that won 22 straight games one season was a 5th seed and a 60 win Mavs seed was a 4 seed. Kobe came away with 2 chips with just 1 All-Star on his team. When you factor in Kobe Bryant's skillset, peak, level of competion(Positional, Playoffs, & Finals), clutch ability, longevity, plus intangibles he is easily Top 5 All-Time. I have him as high as #3.

LeBron wasn’t as skilled. No one is saying that. However, LeBron can impact the game in ways other than scoring as well. When he wants to, he can defend well. His athleticism helps him a lot in that area of the game. He has amazing IQ. He is like a floor general. He is basically a coach on the floor. His passing/court vision is phenomenal. He’s not just a scorer. I’m not getting into a LeBron vs Kobe debate here. I’m just saying that yes Kobe is a more skilled scorer but LeBron has other gifts which make up for that and so that’s why they are the same in my eyes.

This guy wasn't the fastest, strongest, quickest but what he had better then most aside from Mr. Jordan was his heart and had the guts to go at anyone no matter what size or strength they had against him, I still believe and will always believe this guy should of ended with 4 mvps and 2 more rings before he retired, this man was robbed so much. Kobe always made tough shots look routine. But the 08-09 was also great because he had a championship team and he had more players that were able to contribute besides him. Anyone who watched during the 08-09 season knows how much of an endurance test it was for the Lakers in the playoffs. You had to beat 4 tough ass teams (Jazz, Rockets, Nuggets and Magic). Kobe reminded everyone that he was the best player every year and won his first chip without Shaq. It still feels surreal that he's gone. R.I.P Kobe 🕊🙏🏼
