Im mostly woodsball player, used mini for years, its cool, reliable, usualy in my rather small hands fited realy nice, and i was over 30 back then, but its very hard to quickly switch hands and not to hit trigger. Rather then that, great gun. Rize is Good to, but harder to maintain and that on of asa sucks.

5:45 btw jake you dont need to worry about the mini gs spring flying out because it has a press fit so its snug onto the bolt, its not coming off unless you tug it a little.

MINI GS all the frickin way. My friend has the dye rize and I have the mini gs two piece barrel and love my mini gs way more and my hands are pretty much on the bigger side and the grip doesn’t feel uncomfortable. Love the mini and they both are great guns but I’m on the empire mini gs side.

I've owned both, and I've seen new players with these guns. Personally I would recommend the Dye Rize, Rize Maxxed, or the CZR to any new player. Ive owned the Rize Maxxed (basically the CZR) ever since it came out back in 2016 and ive had 0 issues. I've serviced/cleaned the reg just a few times, as you would with any gun. The gun is just extremely reliable and self serviceable if you know what you're doing. You put a battery in, throw some air and paint in it and just go out and play, and that's the most important part about keeping new players in the sport. As for the Mini, I've had 2 solenoid leaks and its a bitch to service and clean the eyes, and its too god damn small. Dye CZR all the way.

Hey hunter lee I’ve just bought my czr not too long ago and I’m going to go out an use it next for Labor Day and I want to know when should u clean and mateneience the regulator and the gun? Also how would u know if your gun has a leak??

Andrew Castillo You rarely need to service the regulator, if you aren’t seeing horribly inconsistent chronograph numbers or running through all your air really fast, don’t touch it. And you will probably be able to hear any significant leaks

@@andrewcastillo1353 When I had to service the reg, I was getting inconsistent chronograph readings, thats the number one symptom of a dirty reg. But like he said, you rarely service the reg. Ive serviced mine twice in 4 years.

@@andrewcastillo1353 As for regular maintenance, you should try to clean and grease the bolt after each day of play, run a swab through the gun and clean off the eye pipe. You shouldn't have to worry about your eyes at all. Thats why I love the Rize/CZR platform. They are so reliable and shoot amazing for the money. Hope you enjoy your gun man!!

I have a mini and think the grip spacing is such a non-problem. I have big hands and have no issues switching hands and getting a good fire rate.

I understand etha 2 is best bang for buck. You get so much. But empire mini GS is just so compact, feels absolutely great in my hands. The weight is too far forward in most guns imo.

The CZR is just a modern 2011 proto rail. I LOVED my proto rail. Thing was a phenomenal beginner marker. Never had any issues. Serviced after each weekend of play and it never gave me any hiccups. The CZR is pretty hard to beat.

4:00 I fixed my own Tippmann 98 Custom when I was 12 back in 2010. I replaced the ball detent, replaced the old O rings and installed an “Liberty Stocks” AR style collapsible stock. So umm yea. It ain’t rocket science. I still have that gun till this day.

Same, drilled and tapped it for an RT trigger and did a LP conversion to use a Palmer regulator. The old guys at the pro store were adamant I sent it to tippman to have the RT installed. I was like 12-13 but had been shooting since I was 5 and successfully hunting since I was 8. They were shocked when I brought it to our next game and it ran like a champ. I mean, it’s hot garbage by today’s standards but meh.

I never considered putting my thumb in the trigger hole thing (Mini GS), I would just use my 4 front fingers no thumb.

Same. I always hated wrapping my hand around a vertical grip on any marker or gun. I always have my thumb over top the barrel. Helps me switch left and right much faster. I love my Mini GS. I haven’t played in years, my last marker was a shocker NXT. I will def be keeping my Mini as a back up if I decide to keep playing (I’m eyeing one of the newer shockers atm).

Getting back into the sports after a few years and have around 400 budget for a gun. Would y’all recommend a used higher end gun such as a geo 3, luxe, etc or maybe something like an etha 2? I’ve also heard good things about the Gteks. Thoughts?

I think for that price, Etha 2 would be the best choice as all the reviews I’ve seen are positive and it’s known for its reliability and ease of maintenance. I’m considering buying one myself.

I've played for two weeks with my new etha2 and really like it. It's so simple to set up and is lighter than I expected but feels adult sized on the grips. I don't feel outgunned by anyone on the field. It's only drawback is it's thickness in the rear vs higher end guns but I don't mind.

Almost 6ft, 240# , no issue with the size of the mini. Ever hear of a guy named Ollie Lang? Ask him where your thumb goes. You sure don't grab the reg like you're milking a cow . Got 2 minis both still on original poppet for a combined 10+ years.

Both are great markers in their own way but the Dye CZR is a hundred times better then the Mini GS. MGS has been around for a very long time and hasn't had any major upgrades. The Dye CZR is a RIZE with upgrades. These markers are reliable, effective, efficient, and just a blast for any new player to use
