Dying Light 2's latest trailer edited in the style of the original 2011 Dead Island reveal trailer that shook the gaming world. Thank you for 75,000 subscribers. Dead Island is the very reason why I started making Dying Light videos in the first place, so this was an especially sentimental little video project to work on. Please watch in 4K if you are able.

This is a sentimental video for me. I wouldn't be making Dying Light videos if it wasn't for my love of Dead Island. From making little tutorials... to designing my own outfit in the game... to being flown to the United States to check out Dying Light 2. For me, it all started with that iconic 2011 Dead Island Trailer. It all started with me purchasing a Happauge HD PVR when I was 14. It all started with recording my first game: Dead Island. Companies really should start reaching out to community members for their games when trying to figure out how to market them. That way we would get more Dead island trailers and less BFV "Trailers"

Yeah. Hubris takes over but in the case of BFV, EA are a mega corporation, they are pushing political agendas and trying to generate revenue and repeat customers and crap like that rather than just making games with passion and love. They don't care about representing their game as an art for of expression, they just want to fit in with whatever buzz words and thoughts are now whilst trying to use propaganda and create customers and wealth. Sad to say but after CP2077 flop and GTA devs pretty much all left from R*, looks like techland are the last good AAA dev left.

I thought someone would make this, I got the same vibes from the trailer, and i feel like they got inspired by it also: I think its been confirmed that we get to play as lawan in-game (probably in co-op) as at the end of the trailer they showed player skins for lawan

I am glad that you did this and saw this because I got the same vibe from the trailer too. Split timeline edited, zombies breaking in etc. It is quite obvious that was what they were going for here. Especially that in most cases dead islands cinematic is known to be one of, if not the best game cinematic (so far)

Nostalgia. It’s nice to remember the good times, dead island with Sam B, drivable cars, the scary jungle and the Jason Easter egg, riptide With it’s boats and rivers, to dying light which did everything the dead island games did but better plus parkour minus the vehicles.

it's amazing the resemblance from the new trailer with the trailer from dead island, the zombies breaking in the room and the struggle of two persons, dead island was my resident evil 1 for me, the start of my love of the zombie concept and scene, it's just something that scares me since i was a little kid till this day that i'm 20 even if it's fictional but at the same time i can't stop playing, reading and watching everything about it
