The game takes place after Dying Light 2, not in between. He was captured for 13 years, that doesn't mean right from the events of The Following for 13 years. The Dev's themselves confirmed this and said "sorry for the misunderstanding of the description of the game, this game takes place right after the events of DL2" so it's a fact not an opinion

Actually, that could be a misunderstanding since DL2 happens in 2036, which means like 22 years after the harran quarantine, presumably 21 years after the following. This is also stated in DY2 with Spike. A returning character from DL1. Which means, two things, one, they fucked up the timeline or it is indeed a pre-sequel. In either case, the game is not a sequel, it's a stand alone game in the same universe following Crane. There is a reason is not called DL3. Also, we have yet another Story DLC from DL2 coming soon.

Volatiles and patrol zombies seem super wired in dl1-dl2. Hopefully they make them feel more lively and unpredictable (Remove the volatile chase scream, it's scarier when they burst out sprinting)

I want to see a prequel game featuring Brecken and showing how the outbreak happened in Harran. Show how Brecken pulled everyone together and trained them, and then show the power struggle between the Tower and Rais. End the game with a shot of someone seeing Crane parachuting into Harran and Brecken ordering Jade to find him. Boom.

Im So excited for this but there's two problems One the same biter grab animations from dying light 2 like at least make the Animation like the first game where where they constantly bite you until you push them off i like that but unfortunately it looks like that won't happen unless they change it for the release which I don't see that happening And 2 the substation puzzles Those were a pain in dl2 i hope we don't see them make a return and the graphics are the same the lighting everything those are my only complaints in the game but the fact that we're playing this Kyle the goat crane again is A huge W!
