Dying my hair at 11pm...by myself...mistakes were made.

Permanent color doesn’t mean that your color won’t fade. It just means it had to lighten your hair a bit and then deposited the tone you wanted so your natural color has been “permanently” altered. Love your vids and your hair looks amazing 🫶🏻❤️

@@Alana.Arbucci Not op but what I understand is that permanent box dye works by opening the hair cuticle and depositing the color. It is the equivalent of using a hight volume (ex.40vol) plus hair color so by opening the hair with high peroxide, your color is lifted and then the new color deposited. I think most colors are permanent and will stay in your hair, specially dark colors but others will slightly fade and red fades almost completely in my experience, I think it’s bc the molecule of the color red is really big or something like that. That’s why if you only want to deposit color it’s better to use a 10vol and the color separately bc you never know how much box dye will lift your base.

Tip for next time: use oil to put on your forehead and neck. That way the dye won't stick to your skin. Love the vid as always Alana!

Girl... Respectfully... Dye it back 🙏 If you'd gone for a more bright or natural red that popped it might have went well with your blue eyes, but your natural hair color looks much better! I get the need to experiment though, just maybe don't go permanent next time, you could hurt your hair ❤

If your hair color is still transferring on things, that most likely means the products you’re using for your hair aren’t color safe and is making your hair color fade faster.
