And people still say “it’s nothing and has a 99% survival rate” but if this is the cost for the 1% who doesn’t, it’s not worth ignoring! What happened to the empathy for humanity these days.
@jeeither
@jeeither 3 жыл бұрын
The loss of empathy in today's society is alarming. There's this pervasive idea that old or sick people are dispensable, or that they don't hold value, and that their deaths are par for the course. It's terrifying how selfish and stubborn some people are, especially when their selfishness affects those around them.

@@jeeither The empty space that is left when Abuela Carmen dies shows how vital a person she was, how much she was integral to her families' lives, and belies this idea that "old people" are valueless. How could one look at all those generations of people, in different countries, all deeply bound to her and think it's ok for someone her age to die of a virus rather than years later of something more natural. It makes me very sad how right you are about a seeming lack of basic empathy for the loss of such important lives.

I´ts allways painfull when old people have to go. But the numbers are still valid. And if this is so bad with the virus, than it should be also with all other things leading to death. Most of them are man made. I feel sooo sorry for this peaple, but thats how live goes. If you reached a certain age, you will go, and the starting point is in most cases an infection. I don´t like those videos because they tell you only one truth and the mauch bigger other side is faded out. this videos tell you, that the death will come over all of us and that it will be bad, but this is not the case. this is simply not true. 99,4 - 99,9 % will not die. thats a fact.

The pain is killing me everyday, I've lost my purpose in life she is the one who always motivates me to do best with everything, I've worked hard to make sure that I can provide everything that they need but all of this is nothing without them! Because it puts all those stats in perspective. Theres so much d3ath and suffering surrounding us right now. That you lose the personal touch of all of this. But seeing this story reminds you that this is happening to each and every single person that makes up those stats. That theres so many broken and grieving families dealing with this. Those are the real victims. All of this reminds you that its more than just you or me or a single person to worry about. Its all of us together. And it strengthens your resolve to keep you family safe. And to help other people kerp theres as well. Losing a loved one is one of the most painful things that can happen to a person. Smh. By the way the last 4 years the flu shots have not worked as they are a newer stand. But I guess you knew that already. 38,000 Americans die in automobile accidents per year with 4.4 million injuries, so should we shut everything down and stop people from driving? Grow up.

Because of this crownobscurantism, those who really need to be rescued and helped do not receive medical assistance. Because of this crownobscurantism, my acquaintances have a 15-year-old son who died from a perforation of an ulcer, and I know many similar cases. The death of a loved one is always a great loss, but this is part of life and this is normal, it is not normal what is happening in the world now because of the virus, from which fewer die than the WHO mortality rate from influenza, 3.2%

*UPDATE* Since I was quarantined with Covid myself, I was not able to see my Mom, but my 4 Sisters went to say their Goodbyes (which hospital broke protocol, because they said they are 1 in a milllion to do so). The hospital eventually said we can't bring her home, because she will for sure die in transport because hospice is not equipped with the heavy duty breathing machine that they use in hospital. Well, once my Sisters saw her and left, they said, 'There is no way she is dying'. She wasn't on a ventilator, she has a breathing cup. Mom was talking and she has a strong grip on my sisters hand. Granted she was 6% oxygen level and Drs thought her breathing would drop more through the night, I guess. It's a miracle, the next morning her lungs showed a little improvement and today, my Mom is sitting up and spitting out phlem to clear her lungs and is out of isolation. Now she is allowed 2 visitors per day. Yay! Thank you all for the prayers and I truly believe that by seeing her Daughters lifted up her spirits, prayers and the Love she was shown. I survived Covid, so my quarantine orders are over today. So I will see her tomorrow at the hospital. I can't wait. God is good. PS: My Mother is 87 years old. Truly a miracle, to survive Covid which gave her pneumonia.

I feel their pain. I lost my brother 3 wks ago from covid and what makes me sad about it is that he didn't listen to me about getting vaccinated. I had it the next day he got admitted to the hospital and while for 3 days he was struggling to live I was in quarantine with very light symptoms. My mom had it too and my other brother but after about 9 days we got the virus out of our systems with like me they had light symptoms. There is 1.5 billion people in China, they need to worry about there own people first. If Obama and Biden didn't push manufacturing jobs out of America, we wouldn't have to worry about countries hoarding PPE. Funny how every other country in the world didn't have PPE problems. I lost my husband to covid last week (11/26/21.) Our ICU experience was very much like the family in the video. We were only allowed inside to hold his hand as he breathed his last breath. This may sound strange, but it is helpful to my heart to grieve with others online at this time. Neighbors, friends and extended family offer help - but I am not ready to even talk on the phone. I am with my young adult kids at home. Still, this video shared the intimacy of grieving while at the same time I am not imposing on anyone and I don't have to even try to be presentable to anyone in person or on the phone. I hope I don't come across as too strange. Everyone experiences grief a little differently. In time I will certainly re-connect with others. I am just not ready yet. That hast to be okay and I hope no one is mad at me for it. :'(

Your comments on this video are disgusting. Why do you feel the need to shame others for having humanity, something that you have so clearly lost? The fact that you have become a cold, gross, pathetic little man who has not even a morsel of empathy for his fellow humans does not mean that others must be that way too. Keep your toxic nihilism to yourself and stop shaming others for being human.

Many days while struggling with 103.0-104.0 fever I thought I was going to die. The doctors say there’s nothing they can do for you so you just have to treat your symptoms at home. I wish those that don’t believe Covid is real would realize the only thing that saved my life was that I was vaccinated! Whatever amount of antibodies I had kept me on earth and out of the hospital.

Not to mention the fact that the ICU beds are being taken by patients who are younger then the population occupying those same beds nearly a year ago

@athromero

I dont understand why people are so against people who opt to stay unvaccinated. Its as if the unvaccinated are spreading the virus. Its not that the unvaccinated are forcing others not to get vaccinated. Where as its the other way round. Why is it so hard to understand and accept the freedom of choice. Get the facts right and then judge. Not go emotional and go about pointing fingers and play the blame game. The fact is even the vaccinated can get infected again and be spreaders just like the unvaccinated. To get vaccinated is just to lessen the severity of the infection if you get infected or re infected again. The real fact is that some of us have genes that cannot defeat the virus vaccinated or not. Thats it. Now talking about getting jabbed, the real point of getting vaccinated is to make your body developed antibodies against the virus is it not?? Well its definitely a yes... And its also a fact that there are two ways to make your body develop anti bodies.. One is through artificial means, that is vaccination and the other is through natural way which is what the recovered patient has. They got infected and the body itself develop the antibodies to defeat the virus. Which means a recovered patient has antibodies inside of him. Dont that make him the same as someone who did it through vaccination? So why force someone who already has anti bodies inside through natural means get it again through artificial means? Yes its heartbreaking to see loved ones die because of the virus but stop blaming it on someone who chooses dont to get jabbed. Its nature and life playing its own cards of one who survives and dies and its no ones fault that someone lives and the other dies...

If the unvaccinated only hurt themselves- then freedom of choice is great. But the majority of unvaccinated people overflowing ICUs right now, especially in the Southern US, are blocking other people from receiving operations, treatment and beds. You are one of those who need to visit an ICU unit and see the problem first-hand, see the pain, talk to the nurses and doctors. Any response you provide here is invalid until you look for yourself. The unvaccinated make their choice- then want another chance and don't care about the overall impact. If you're free to elect no vaccine, please feel free to elect no care when you get sick. Stick to your guns, you don't need medicine. That's freedom, it's not free.
