Dying Paper Using Flower Petals

Hey Guys!
Thanks for tuning in! This tutorial is on how to dye paper using flower petals. There are many ways to dye paper, so this is just one. This time I am simply using the Camellia flowers I pulled off the bushes in my front yard. You don’t have to use this specific flower. In fact I encourage you to experiment with any flowers you may have in your yard or have easy access to.
In this tutorial I used the bright pink petals and also made a separate batch with the same process but using the brown dried petals.
I set my oven to 350* F for 5 minutes. You may have to play with your oven to see if that works or if you need to adjust the temperature.

Great idea. I haven't tried using flowers. Only avocado pits. I need to try this. Thanks for sharing.

@@StephanieGammon-FaithandCreati I was told that the dye can be refrigerated and is stronger the next day. Wish I had known that when I made mine. I made at least a gallon of dye.

Oh wow! I didn’t know that! Good to know! I’ll try that when I dye more soon with the dead brown leaves! I really loved the vintage color it gave the paper. Thanks!
