Yeah, he really has a gift for making carefully planned bits sound like spontaneous rambling. It's a style of presentation I don't think I've ever seen someone do better.

Volvandese I agree. They have a very similar style, but I fear Izzard has lost his edge a bit. He did that horribly self-indulgent riff on his old Star Wars canteen bit, and the audience were lapping it up like good little lambs.

In my meager defense, when people hire an IT consultant, they expect us to either dress in a nerdy t-shirt and cargo pants or in a suit and tie, and I can't bare the thought of wearing a tie every day. He quit drinking and smoking in 2018. He's much healthier now. He's a little thinner, a little grayer, and he doesn't shake anymore. Still brilliantly creative. I think he also got divorced recentlly...that's too bad.
