What I heard was the reason Tokai could use the Gibson headstock, was because they had to reverse engineer the old Les Pauls and teach Gibson how to make them properly again, so in exchange they can make Les Pauls the same...dunno if its true but what Ive heard

I recently got a Texas Toast Challenger II with your P-90s in it. I'm amazed at the quality of the instrument and your pickups--these may well be the best P-90s I've ever encountered . . . But what do I know? I've only been at this for a bit over sixty years.

After working for large corporations for 35 years, I have come to the conclusion that ethics are out the window and for the most part intellectual property laws generally only protect large companies and the rare small company with extremely deep pockets. If a small company copies the intellectual property from a large corporation, the large company will litigate the small company to death. Flip the scenario and assume the large company copies the intellectual property from a small company, the small company can try to sue and defend the intellectual property, but the large company will throw millions in to lawyers and delay the case as long as possible to make the small company run out of cash. It's a no win scenario for the small company. Patents and trademarks only protect big companies from other big companies. I have seen this first hand many times. As George Carlin mentioned, the first thing a businessman does is bring a team of lawyers to any meeting assuming the other team is trying to screw them over as much as they are trying to screw over them. As for the customer, the large company will "service the account". I miss George Carlin.

Simple; stop with the "boutique mentality", cut expenses, cut overhead, stop supporting a lifestyle you can't afford, sell your wares cheaper than the competition. Edit: I've owned four successful businesses.

I feel you should give examples before claiming PRS and Fender steal from small companies just as much as Gibson.
