Good for you for going different! I still wish I got a few Maccaferri guitars way back when. including the plastic archtop. Anything but X braced. It's a great bracing system. It's just done to death. So give me a ladder braced, 12 fret, slotted headstock, and I'm fairly happy.

When you were talking about the McPherson carbon fiber guitars you have, it made me wonder about something.... Anyone know what happened to that Koloss (or something close to that) guitar brand that had those kits that weren't worth their weight in scrap value? Lol. I’ve always dreamt to own a carbon McPherson as well. I’m sure I will someday. My most unique higher end acoustic guitar would be my Taylor Limited 516e Baritone. When I purchased it I probably could have gotten a McPherson but I felt like I better get my hands on the one that is 1 in 54 first. PS. Your guitar collection is wicked my friend. 💯✊🏻🇺🇸

Yea, I would sell the Gibson G-ho' too. It is not their best made model from reviews I have seen. Yours may be better.... I have 2 Gibsons, one acoustic J50 and a 'lectric 2014 Cherry Dot ES 335. Lots of other stuff would go before either of those. The J50 is a 1971, bought new by me. First year of the square shoulder J50 and an early Norlin-era guitar but still well made and holding up after >50 years. It is my 2nd guitar. I also have one like my 1st guitar, a German made Framus 12 string Texan found on CL and restored to playability. Both on the wall right now. Lets see those kid guitars in the closet.....

Your acoustic Gibson has a crisper sound than the two carbon-fiber acoustics although I admit it's sound is approaching "twangy." I don't understand how you can buy guitars online. You can line up 6 of the same guitar, acoustic or electric, in a shop and each one will play and/or sound differently for you. Something cheap, like my $300 12-string hollow electric, yeah, because that's not much money and that's how I got it. I was lucky, it's great, but anything more costly I'd prefer to try first.

Im just too much of a fuckup to have a nice wooden acoustic, personally. Im going to get one of the carbon ones pretty soon, and id prolly get an ovation or one of the torrified wood guitars if carbon fiber wasnt about to be a regular thing. out of all your acoustics, I'd sell the Gibson too. It'll move fast, it's known brand, and the breedlove does what that gibson does . . . . its crazy this day and age, we have tons of selection for amazing guitars beyond top 3 in either electric or acoustics, man it's wild. part of it was carbon fiber has gotten a bad rep from rainsong and ovation (original ovation was novel and good but then quality dropped) as they were the first to use non standard materials and poor execution lead the guitar world to say "See I told you so, we build guitars trad for a reason and it's tone / playability / etc) and supposedly they got better but too many good carbon like mcpherson, emerald, klos . . . If you're into acoustics you have to try boucher, gallgher, MIJ yairi (alvarez), MIJ yamaha, pre war. after hearing those, probably won't spend a dime on the top 3.
