I’m not 100% sure but I believe that Michael Jackson got that part where he made the music with the different things around him, from a movie called the tap dance kid starring Gregory Hines. There’s a scene where he’s in the city and he’s a tap dance performer. And he’s some type of musical prodigy. He starts hearing the different sounds of the city and it sounds like music to him and he performs on the street
