Probably a smart move to keep the suspension this time rather than riding one of the hard tails. I always watch those camp videos thinking it must be pretty hardcore putting in all those miles with no shocks!

I swapped the stock suspension on my ‘07 FXDLI for Progressive Suspension front and rear, standard fork springs in the front and 12 1/2” in the rear and it’s a completely different bike now. Rides and handles like it should. I’m a big fan of those V&H Straighshots myself as they sound great and no rejecting/remapping required. Nice Bike Man.

Wow! The seat is awesome and the rear end mod makes a big difference I also love the smaller diameter of the muffler. Now with the narrower seat and rear end the gas tank looks a little bit to be too wide. But still great mods. René from Québec.

Hey brother love watching your stuff I have a 05 FXDL. Your bike looks better with the upgrades personally I would have stayed with the progressive shocks they're better performers they make a 12.5" chrome covered shock. With Dynas keep an eye on the cam chain tensioners and also the primary chain tension, I would advise not chucking the windscreen I know it looks shit but if you're doing a cross-country or long run you'll be thankful for it can always unclip it to stay cool 😉 when you get where you're going. All the best Dazz from OZ 😁

Really cool video man. I'm happy to see your bikes. just the personal opinion because I've been towing since the early 00s ,I would never have a truck like that haul anything, ever . The lift alone weakens that truck . Most likely isn't aligned correctly, imagine what that does on a not perfectly straight, not fresh laid black top. I will say it looks like it's doing just fine , you just never know . A Sportster is as valuable as a diavel . That's a decent thought process to have when you're moving other people's shit

I replaced my tail light on one of my bikes back in '09 with the one that you could a flashes I mean it's bright it's the same technology they use an ambulance I think it's called bright as hell or something like that they probably still make them. But you can change the flash pattern when you hit the brake paddle with a magnet. I put one of those USB things on my shovel head comes in handy cuz I really don't know how good they alternator is doing. And this tells me real time

Rear pipe on those Vance and Hines always looks like it is sagging. I fought that on my 09 Super Glide with Straight Shot slip ons. The pipes just don't sit at the proper angle in relation to each other, most notable at the rear pipe, which always seems to sag towards the ground.

A little, the hypercharger can be adjusted to fully close the butterflies while riding but it's recommended to let 1/8 inch open, to keep a fresh amount of air into the air intake. Quite a beautiful airfilter in my opinion, I fully restored one.
