It works beautifully. I created a post type Authors and related it with the standard Posts of WordPress. No extra plugin needed to show a post author and WordPress can no longer show the actual users with their URL, which is a major security risk. Thanks, Paul.

Great and useful work Paul! Five stars. Relational queries are complex. Anyone who has written SQL can attest to that. Real-world database-driven websites demand complex queries to meet site visitor expectations. The bar on the Internet is high, and this video enables Elementor users to “code” complex queries to populate templates with relational data that visitors are accustomed to seeing. A beneficial video to every Elementor user. Thank you.

I promise you, JETENGINE should pay you handsomely for your informative tutorials. On behalf of all your followers, I would like to thank you so much for sacrificing your time and helping this community that follows you, on how to use JET Plugins. I hope you can assist me with a problem I cannot solve using the jet-engine plugin. I want to display a listing of all my taxonomies and categories in a bulleted list that also has a post count that will serve as a sitemap for my users a directory listing website I'm working on. I would appreciate it if you can walk us through that. Another thing that I think JetEngine documentation is so poor in explaining the meta and taxonomies queries usage. I wanted to display related CPT that match up with certain taxonomies that must display. Thank you once again.

Thank you, dear sir, for clearing this up 🙇‍♀️. I walked away from frustration on how to use JetEngine (waiting for a video like this 😉) and now maybe more struggling to choose between the ACF Pro/CPT UI route or the JetEngine one. I am beginning to see the power of the listing functionality in JetEngine, but the complexity of this plugin ... 🤯 Love the credits given to AJ Toker 😘
@WPTuts
@WPTuts 5 жыл бұрын
My pleasure. In many use cases you can use ACF/CPTUI alongside JetEngine and take advantage of a lot of the cool functions, including the Listings widget and pull in your ACF data. It's just when you're looking at Post Relationships, you can't (as yet) use that with ACF. Hopefully they will integrate this into the plugin as ACF has a pretty extensive userbase and that would allow Zemez to tap into that.

Hey Paul, In continuation of my comment yesterday on another video of yours, where I requested a solution on how to link two custom posttypes together. This is exactly what I want, BUT I need the process of linking to be "automated". In my case the user is able to submit the custom post type (could be 'Cook') from frontend (thanks to one of your tuts ;) ). And they are also able to submit a second custom post type (could be 'recipe'). Now I need to link these together like the architect and project in this video, but because all the content in my case (could be cooks and recipes) are submitted by the users, then I would like the linking process to be automated too. In other words I need the recipe to be linked to the cook (or "author") that submitted that actual recipe and not have to set it manually like in this video. Today I'm able to show a list of recipes on the single template for a certain cook, but Elementor forces me to set a specific author of the recipes to be shown (I use Elementor Pro btw). I want this to be dynamic, so what I need is something like setting this author to be the author of the current post. In this case the author that submitted the cook that is shown on this post. So it shows the recipes related to the author of the current post in some how. You answered in the other post, that it was possible to link two CPT's together and I see in this tut that is the case, but will it also be possible to do it automated like I describe above? :) If it could be dine with ACF alone (without the JetEngine) it would be perfect, so I can minimise the amount of plugin's needed, but if not it's also okay. Thanks for a really killer YT channel

At 21:30 you enabled metabox for parent only. I'm curious if JetEngine relationships are smart / bi-directional. Meaning, for example, if you also enabled metabox also for the children, if a user entering in the data for an architect selects a "project" in the "project" metabox, and then visits that same project, he would see the architect already pre-selected in the "architect" metabox. That's a mouthful! Thanks man!

Hi Paul, another great video. I'm doing a bit of a redesign of my own site and this seems a perfect fit. I provide multiple types of service, I have a page for each, and I write a post/page for each project/client I complete. I would swap Architect for Service. Or would you say there is an easier way? Does this work with ACF and CPT UI? I'm becoming addicted to your channel . Always so interesting.

Great video Paul, great to see you getting into detail about an area that is so overlooked! I’ve been trying to do this with CPTUI and AFC Pro forever! Have you managed to do the same with those two? Hey Paul! Thanks for the video! How do you tie in a membership function into this? So that members can for example create new property listings themselves via their membership profile, and then the JetEngine creates a new property listing and pulls that member inputted information into the new property listing, and then it is it outputted into the front-end? I am REALLY looking for an answer for this.

Also courses that relate to other courses because of the nature of the course. Is there a way to achieve this same relationships with ACF & CPT UI as I don’t fancy having to te-build the whole site. Hello Paul, is there a way to set this up so any future posts someone puts up (in this case any of the architects) will automatically populate instead of someone doing it manually either through a form (gravity forms or something like WPUF) or by some other means? So far this is the closest I've seen for what I'm looking for, but it would be nice if it were all automated.

You're not alone in finding the whole process super frustrating! I just started work on a project that required several post relationships, so I thought JetEngine can do that.. Hopped over to the KZbin channel, took a look at their tutorial and tried it out and found nothing was the same, the process didn't work and so it was time to turn to the Facebook group. Thankfully, AJ Toker had put a short video helping someone out on how to use the Post Relations and that cleared everything up for me. Hence making this video, as I'm sure I'm not alone in getting super frustrated trying to get it all working. P.S. Sorry for making you feel lazy.. lol

Do you know how to style related information as table or list, let's say a list of related articles without thumbs in a table?

Nice video! Do you know if we can use JetEngine and Woocommerce to create post relation between products and postype? For example link writer to a book single product page? Thank you

I was going to say that I can't see why it wouldn't as JetEngine is geared towards WooCommerce, so creating relationships should work fine. Hmmm, maybe there's a tutorial in there. 🤔

hello, can jet engine handle this example. i want to build supplier page using woo-commerce, i will add custom field on woo-commerce called supplier_name or supplier_id then create front-end page where supplier can create upload product, but here the tricky part, i want the supplier to see order page where only the product belongs to supplier can only be seen, and third supplier will have access to analytics to see and check sales performance and again. only suppliers product can be seen

Hello Paul, I am currently working on a page on my site which shows events in my city and I have gone through the documentation to find out a way to display the events into Today's events and this month's events and have not been able to pull it off. As you had mentioned, Zemez's documentation is limited and it is hard to find much of what you need which eats up ton's of time for something that is hit or miss. Is there a possibility for you to create a video showing all of the post query types and the accompanying values that come with it or the ones most commonly used? If that is or is not possible, maybe putting something on your website might be of help. I know many of the people new to Wordpress and Elementor (Pro) who are using JetEngine, would appreciate it.

Hey Paul, thanks again for your jetengine tutorials. I love jetengine but do you have any idea about acf relationship field? Is there any way to show post relationship that created with acf?

Take s look on the channel and do a search for repeater fields and there's a video on using ACF repeater fields. Hopefully that will help. 🤘

RegelRecht Advies van Anita van den Bosch-de Gier with JetThemeCore you can do the templating part, you will still need at least Elementor free for the building

Howdy Paul. From 9:50 to 10:05, which is this link you mentioned coz its not in the description, may have forgotten to put it there: prntscr.com/nasqnl , also about repeater fields, are they a working asset in Jet, where would we find those?

You're right Jason, I totally forgot to put that additional link in. It's added in the description now and if you need it, you can watch the video here: bit.ly/2DbISll Repeater Fields will be something I look at covering soon. I just need to get my head around how to implement it effectively before trying to explain it. :0)
