It is exactly the same thing here at Canadian campuses. I try to engage them in discussion and they refuse to talk. Not one has been able to speak freely about what they think and always refer to a cell leader to speak on their behalf. Well, I finally found a cell leader, a PhD candidate in the department of “colonial studies”. I had no idea such a faculty existed, and then found out that there is a faculty of diversity, equity and inclusion.
