I’ve been doing exactly what she recommended for the past 25 years. Now, I’m starting retirement in my 40s, with those financial elements in place. I haven’t stopped working as I still enjoy some of the work. When I don’t want to work anymore, I’ll automate like she mentioned. In any case, I’ve got my future grandchildren covered, along with my sister’s. Working on my cousins’ now.

Exactly...anyone can do this. We all have a differnt definition of what we want our own dynasties to be. It is not just reserved for the 1% but for anyone who approaches their life with intent to make their life the best it can be for themselves and for others.

I'm not sure why but in my family financial discussions always felt off limits. Like I didn't ever feel comfortable asking my parents for money to do things because I assumed we wouldn't be able to afford it... this story inspires me to be more aware of these things as I start my own family and hopefully my children will learn better attitudes and habits around money

It's amazing that she's created so much for herself and really noble that she still places value on the community and wanting to improve it but it's really tough that it falls to the individual to have to use their own created wealth to try and fix systemic issues.

I get the point of this talk but I'm still just so stuck on how 4 years of treatment was enough to financially devastate this family that was working so hard. Healthcare in America is so messed up, especially compared to other countries

Society has taught us that we live in a world of scarcity vs abundance. Which is completely false. Even nature teaches us we live in a world abundance. I have a rule, always be better than you were yesterday. Use this rule when building your dynasty. You can’t eliminate your self because you feel the odds are stacked against you. Start small like review all of your expenses and see what can be eliminated or negotiated down with your electric, cable etc. Then take those savings and automatically pay off debt or invest it
