@@VinVin21969 Lu Bu died before Zhao Yun became a general yes, but they did briefly meet at Hu Lao Gate. Lu Bu refused to fight Zhao Yun because he was a teenager at the time and despite how he's always portrayed, Lu Bu did have some sense of honor. He wouldn't fight teenage soldiers or women

Cool little fact: Zhao Yun’s moves in this opening later became his permanent DW6 moveset 0:49 -> his running charge attack with True Speed 1:08 -> his weapon deadlock win 1:32 -> his musou attack

1:40 is indeed the least realistic, but it's not totally outside of the realm of possibility. We already have bullets and guns with strong enough velocity to rip your arm off just from being a few feet away from the MISSED bullet. A human being wielding some kind of super weapon, say, in the form of Zhao Yun's spear, should at some point be able to create such velocity to replicate this scene. Not a thing today, but definitely could be. Not out of the realm of possibility. It'd be truly amazing to witness real life super warriors like Zhao Yun in this trailer.

What I love about this opening is that I was able to create my own story behind this scene. Takes place after the fall of Shu, or Shu lost a huge battle that cost the life of Liu Bei. Everyone in Shu is too demoralized too anything, except for Zhao Yun who decides to take the fight straight to the emperor of Wei, Cao Pi. And the rest is played in the op.

One thing I liked about this game, is how easy it is to get into, being a bityon masher, you can press the same sequence/combination of buttons, and k.o hundreds or thousands of enemy soldiers. You dont need to pull off well timed combos, just pressing square, square, square, triangle (on PS2),, can have you wipe out opponents quickly and easily. My favourite characters were Ling Tong, Jiangwei, Ma Chao, Zhiang Fei, Zhao Yun Xu Huang, Zhang Liao, Lu Meng, mma, Xahou Dun, xahou Yuan, Sun Ce, Guang Ping. The levels I played in free mode were The Yellow Turban Rebellion, Wu Territory, ChangBab, Xia Pin Mount Ding Jun, Fan Castle, Hu Lao Gate, Chi Bi, Escape from Chi Bi. I love this game, I use to play it 4 -5 hours every day, and it gradually led to my interest in Chinese History,. I saw the movie Red Cliff part 1 and 2 and watched the Dynasty Warriors live action movie. 😀

Might be wrong but this actually reminds me very much of the fight in Romance of the Three Kingdoms where Zao Yun is meant to singlehandedly fight his way out with Liu Bei's child... by similar I mean I will need to go back and watch it but it looked practically the same to me - pretty cool if they did copy that imo, definitely must of been inspiration for this cinematic at least.

Cao Pi is more than a match for Zhao Yun. He isn't intimidated at all by ZY handling the common soldiers. When ZY gets to him, he's completely calm and ready to engage. He almost looks at him with condescension, like he knows he'll win. Dude is a G.
