Fun Fact: In DW4,If you let Guan Yu kill Yan Liang and Wen Chou,when you're playing the Yuan Shao side of Guan Du,he will start on a killing spree,by killing all of Yuan Shao's officers until he ends by killing Yuan Shao also causing a game over. When you're approaching Guan Yu with any character EXCEPT for Liu Bei,his AI will pursue you through the ENTIRE MAP unless you lure him to Liu Bei and then Guan Yu will leave you alone.

I think making Yan Liang and Wen Chou generics really harms the "awe" of what Guan Yu achieved. Both were already quite famous as warriors before the yellow turban rebellion even broke out. Yan Liang went toe to toe with the likes of Xu Huang, and others of his caliber and either they were draw's or he made them flee the duel. Those guys were no slouch's. Wen Chou went one on one with Xu Zhu to an even draw, and went against the poster boy himself, Zhao Yun also a stalemate. The soldiers with Yun who served Gongsun Zan knew of him, and fled leaving Yun with no support. These guys were holy terrors. But the games did a great injustice by making them look and sound like generic nobodies which not only belittles Guan Yu's famous achievement of taking them down when Cao Cao's generals failed to do it, but it also gives people the wrong impression about them as they should be fearful and imposing generals. That's why I always disliked the whole idea of named generics in these games. For those of you who know the history (and me) it really hurts immersion. They need to at least give NOTABLE characters unique models whether they are playable or not. They FINALLY gave Hua Xiong his own because it was the same story there, but not as extreme as Yan and Wen because the later were actually famous in their time.

Wen Chou: Feel the pain of Yan Liang! Prepare yourself! Wen Chou and Guan Yu swings and.... Guan Yu still wins. Dw9 could have gone longer if... Yan Liang Wen Chou Sima Yan Yang Hu Sun Hao or anyone at the time of Wu's final moments when Jin was closing in Liao Hua Cao Cao's wife were playable They should've given hypothetical scenarios for: Sun Jian Dian Wei Sun Jian's hypothetical scenario could start with... "Give the Imperial Seal to someone else"
