This game looks really, really good but we are used to be able to choose between at least 30 different characters to play and now we only have one. It will be "strange" to many fans of musou for sure!

There are also those like us who like empires more to play their own character instead of the named onea. Honestly this was a breather of fresh air. I may not have created it but it still feels your own just with a backstroy

Parrying is a thing in 1v1 and in fights where there are troops everywhere. Tap block before getting hit by an officer and some battle arts are parrries

​@spooderman6522 having played through (and platinumed) most mainstream soulsbourne games including Nioh,sekiro and Wolong, I can tell you the parry window is INCREDIBLY generous. You could take a nap between the time of actually tapping block and the strike landing lol. It makes sense considering how many enemies are on screen, I will say it feels incredibly satisfying to land then though

This game "offers a fresh take." This is the fiftieth game in the Dynasty Warriors series. This take is as fresh as a long-buried corpse.

I mean what I meant by that is that they changed the multiple character concept. Its not completely gone since you can sometimes control others, but it changed. Maybe "a fresh take" wasn't the right statement though

As someone whos a lifelong fan of tbe series as well as a person whos played 3/4/5/6/7/8 RECENTLY its definitely a fresh take. The core gameplay is far different to a point i expect many fans ofbthe series might not like it. Try the demo and you can easily see that
