00:49 - You can tell they are trying to channel Lü Meng's older looks because this takes place before he becomes a bookworm that takes down Guan Yu. Also likely that he and Dong Zhuo will join Cow Cow and Benevolence in having a new JPN voice. 1:18 - To comment on the bird motif, that is absolutely correct because while he can be named whichever you choose, the producers decide to give him the official name of Zi Luan (紫鸞), the Luan part being a mythological bird that more resembles a pheasant than a phoenix. 1:30 - I want to also note that many of the generics also seems to mostly be designed with DW9E's CAW edit parts, so they will likely standout a bit more this time although most will still have the same face. 3:19 - with the confirmation of the 9 companions, it does feel like the ability to temporary switch to your companions is basically a way to switch your weapons. Since the release date being next year in Jan, I am going to assume that we are mostly stuck with the 9 weapons but it's maybe possible there will be some unlockables. One last thing to mention is that Guo Jia being one of the 9 is kinda interesting because the dude is suppose to bite it after Guandu so maybe there is a potential for hypothetical scenario? (at least for Wei) or someone will pick up the Dao as your companion (Xiahou Yuan?).

Very observant and insightful! The Zi Luan part is interesting. To my knowledge, the only thing in Three Kingdoms that has anything to do with a pheasant is the Tongquetai so it would interesting if that place would somehow plays an important role in the game. I also think the 9 weapons corresponding with 9 companions seems like how the devs intended too, but I still hope there are unlockables, at least with Lu Bu's halberd. Or maybe they will add more with updates and DLCs?

I think in 3 Kingdom 2010 show Yue Jin has spear i dont kind but ill miss his tein hook sword they should have gave him dual sword
