Boosted Performance. If you have a more heavily modified car, or are planning on going in that direction, these Kooks Long Tube Headers are an option you might want to consider. These are ideal for forced induction, including nitrous, since the tubes feature a large diameter. They're also great for naturally aspirated Mustangs with plenty of mods. These are some of the highest quality long tube headers for the Coyote motor. You can install these long tube headers on any 2011 to 2014 Ford Mustang GT or 2012 to 2013 Mustang Boss. Strong Construction. The pipes for these long tube headers are made of 1-7/8-inch mandrel-bent tubing, allowing for quick and unobstructed exhaust gas flow. The entire system is constructed out of 304 stainless steel, which is a strong and durable material that resists corrosion fairly well. TIG welds add to the strength of these headers. Difficult Install. Because of their layout, long tube headers are always a difficult installation job, and these aren't an exception to that rule. You'll need to remove several major components from your Mustang as part of the process, making it an involved and time consuming process. While it's highly recommended you hand this job off to a professional, if you take it on yourself, be prepared for it to take an entire day to install. You'll also need to run a custom tune on your car after installing these long tube headers, so you can turn off the rear O2 sensors and avoid the check engine light coming on.

Nice review, she's a good speaker. I like the before and after dyno runs. The long-tube HP benefit doesn't seem worth the cost and hassle of the mod. Am I missing something?

Drop the k member it makes the install a whole lot easier. I did it by myself on jack stands, I also did a 2016 the same way without dropping the k member and my 14 was way better. The 16 kicked my butt.

why does everyone at AM insist bigger is better? Smaller primary sizes have advantages, these huge headers will kill low end power, exhaust gas velocity, and exhaust gas temps for the front 02 sensors to work off of. I run 1 5/8 kooks with a cobra jet manifold cammed coyote, and still picked up a ton of power from the headers especially in the low end.

They can definitely be done with the motor in place, although raising is slightly to allow yourself some breathing room definitely comes in handy. It all depends on how you want to do it! Personally, I dropped my K :) - Will
