Hey, could you please share your AFR and ignition advance tables? I tuned an NB2 VVT engine running a Mega Squirt 3 ECU a couple of years ago. It definitely had more power with the standalone ECU combined with similar hardware (Racing Beat header, full exhaust, and intake). However, I never had a chance to tune it on a dyno. I would like to compare the shape of your AFR and ignition curves vs the tune that I put together.

@markc4768
@markc4768 Жыл бұрын
I remember watching this when it was new and I was thinking about headers and an aftermarket intake... I chose to keep it stock --- but the difference between its baseline 96 hp and 108 based on recommendations from a bunch of his vids, going from 10* to 13* timing, a spotlessly clean throttle body, used set of cleaned and tested injectors, new plugs & wires + 91 octane on my original unmodified 290,000 mile '91 was huge, especially between 2000 and 4000 in 3rd gear where it now pulls a lot harder than the dyno horsepower might indicate. Next comes a valve job (slight hiss in intake #4 and in the tailpipe on #2) and a new clutch kit - just turned 195,000 miles on the fresh OEM replacement that was in it when I got the car 20 years ago - still holds, but the pilot shaft and TOB are getting a bit noisy...)
