I’m already stage 2+ 190mm crank from 034, 57mm supercharger pulley from IE, IE intake, ECS HX, p3 v3 gauge , Billet drivetrain and tranny inserts from 034, IE 80mm throttle body, running on 100 octane. Ran into fuel cutting issues. HPFP next. JHM test pipes/catted down pipes, then ported blower, and time to run e40. I love how you dyno everything. This way I can know what I was pushing to the wheels as I was going from stage 1-stage 2+ and forward. Thank you!

That is phenomenal power! Really excited to see that you are already making nearly 400 wheel on pump gas, no less. There you go closer to that 10 second run. You should be trapping right around 119 mph now. To run 10's repeatedly, you will need at least 124 mph traps, which should be easily achievable with E40, DP, 80 mm throttle body and ported blower. Actually with those additional mods you will be trapping around 128 mph. Again, congrats on the awesome results and thanks for the interesting content!
@VancityAudi
@VancityAudi 3 жыл бұрын
I'd say 119mph is a little on the high side for a Stage 1 - 93 octane tuned car, but we shall see. Thanks for watching!
@spondev
@spondev 3 жыл бұрын
@@VancityAudi you trapped 116 mph when putting down 360 whp. With 33 additional hp, you will very likely pick up 3 mph in the 1/4. Every little bit helps- HX gave you better IAT-timing-power, intake more power, downpipes a bit more power.
@VancityAudi
@VancityAudi 3 жыл бұрын
@@spondev super cold weather, super low DA making super good power on a dyno doesn't directly relate to that high a trap speed. If the conditions were identical between those dyno days then I might agree. I think I did 115mph, not 116mph too haha. My guess is I manage like 117mph, maybe 118mph at best. Seems like the overall consensus is that a intake doesn't add much but I think when people make that statement they are referring to a modified OEM airbox 034 back pipe, AFE filter, and a few holes punched in the bottom. Certainly more than 22hp with both of those mods. You have to take into consideration the testing of those products was done on separate days and at very, very different power levels. If all you're looking for is to make the supercharger whine louder, then you'll want to buy an open air intake. Not a closed one, so make sure you don't buy the cover. With a stock tune, you'll gain no power using an air intake. The car will need to be tuned to make more power.

8:30 seems about right doesn't really surprise me that you didn't gain anything. Proves the stock airbox is flowing enough air and then some for stock cars. will probably smooth out with some driving. more supporting mods are needed to require more air to come in :)
@VancityAudi
@VancityAudi 3 жыл бұрын
As I CLEARLY explained in this video, lol. It wasn't right at 8:30. The powerband was f$cked up because my bypass valve was opening so much because I was hitting target boost. The stock airbox flows well I'm sure, but this intake provides much better flow and power.
@One_Guy
@One_Guy 3 жыл бұрын
@@VancityAudi the gains you showed in the latter part of the video were more to do wtih your downpipes and removing restrictions on the exhaust side. VAG does a great job at sizing their intakes and as you CLEARLY explained these intakes are more for sound and cosmetics than power gains until you get more serious about upgrades (stage 2 and higher).
@VancityAudi
@VancityAudi 3 жыл бұрын
@@One_Guy actually I said the downpipes were more for sound, not the intake. The dip in power was from the bypass valve opening. If that wouldn't have happened the 1st graph would have looked fine and I picked up 16whp from an intake. So like I said the intake flows better and makes more power than the OEM system. Hard to deny actual proof and facts that I am testing and showing you all. To continue to say that the OEM system makes as much power as this intake is just ignorant.

@@VancityAudi I'm going to check and see if there is an updated stg1 tune. I'm same set up minus the heatX. I think you can give at least 4 of those horses to the downpipes. Those mid mufflers were just as restrictive letting air out as the stock intake was letting air in.

@@jayboom10 don't waste your time. There is no updated file available to the public yet.
