I also have the walbro 535 pump in my 2013 silverado 5.3, whipple 2.3, 3.70” pulley (currently) on e70 (with many more mods). But I installed and pulled out this pump configuration about 5 times trying different methods/modifications to the pump/bucket etc. and I finally have been running it now for a few months with a small rectangular hole in the bucket directly under the pump pick-up/sock. I was still having pressure issues before but this method has brought the most successful outcome to this point with maintaining pressure at high rpm’s. But I’ve also experienced erratic pressure spikes at idle and cruise that I have not been able to address. But it has not affected drivability as far as I can tell. Sounds/looks like buying a credit for the fpcm to modify a few settings could remedy that from the looks of this video. I may need a professional to do that for me tho at this point in my young tuning adventure lol I appreciate your videos man, keep pumping me out! I’m here for it👍🏼👍🏼

Awesome video, not much on this drivetrain setup. My 13 Silverado LTZ has the exact same drivetrain from the factory except NO DOD. Only VVT Long tubes headers are being installed this weekend. Looking forward to my retune.

I got the same truck. I installed catless texas speed 1 7/8 headers, true dualed with an xpipe and corsa mufflers and tuned. World of difference. Def wakes the truck up

Do you find a lot of tuners are tuning na set ups with out checking or cleaning the maf sensor? Also ran into a truck where someone tuned over the fact that the fuel pump wasn’t holding prime. After replacing fuel pump the truck would be too rich and have excessive crank time turn into a hard start. Lots of sloppy tuning out there nice to see someone that’s doesn’t settle for nothing but the proper oem way

Let me fly you and a +1 out to Orlando and put you in a hotel for a few days for a mini vacation! Fix my tune while you’re out and spend some time doing whatever you want!😂 only half way joking lol Wish you were closer man. Keep up the vids. Awesome info

@hops818410 ай бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 09-13 Sierra 6.2L had a L9H, which had VVT but didn't have AFM. 0:48
@Matt_Sanford10 ай бұрын
You actually may be right. I don’t do the mechanical work to them. I know there was some variations in the 6.2 truck/suv engines but I am just used to the majority of the trucks being factory equipped with DOD.

Did they do a hotwire on that 525 fuel pump it pulls alot of amps? Thats the reason i went with a 450 pump its more of a drop in, huron speed sells a nice billet twin pump drop in module.
@Matt_Sanford10 ай бұрын
This one was on stock wiring. They told me the FPCM had 10ga going to the pump but 🤷♂️
@wisky310 ай бұрын
@@Matt_Sanfordstock fuel pump fuse is a 20amp, I'm pretty sure those 525 walbros will pull 25amps.

Matt, for the Open Loop Tuning, what do you do with the maf table after you're done tuning on the ve table? Looking for more info on the Open Loop on the Gen 3 stuff!
@Matt_Sanford10 ай бұрын
The MAF curve is essentially complete after I tune the VE table. The only other thing necessary is I will take it out on the street and make sure all the data is lining up correctly.

@@Matt_Sanford and to compare the 2 in the scanner I believe the other videos says to use VE Air and DynAir? is that correct?

Which fuse do you pull on a 5.3 2011 canyon to make a pass it shuts me down from wheel speed I thought it was the pink abs 2 fuse it said stabilitrak traction control and Abs disabled across the screen just wanna be sure cuz there’s a green 40 amp as well that’s abs 1

2 bar is what the operating system is called by HPtuners. You can scale the Map sensor to pretty much whatever you want though. But yes it’s a 2.5 Bar CTS-V sensor.
