RacerX Performance Tuning back again at Countersteer tuning a true sleeper! This one is a 1990 Hyundai Sonata - a very unassuming traditional sedan. Yet lying under the hood is the formidable, legendary Mitsubishi 4G64/4G63 fully built, turbo powered engine managed by a Haltech Elite 550 ECU!
We walk you through the back story, first startup, and maiden street voyage leading up to today's dyno tuning session.
Included is a Tuner Diary section with a brief tutorial on Haltech NSP to tune WOT fuel, boost, and MBT advanced timing.
Running on pump 93 fuel and the 33 year old original transmission we had modest goals of 400 wheel horsepower.
