You don’t want Dyson, it’s the worst one, look up Winix much better. We got a Dyson and it’s shite. 5500-2 is the one you want.

Great video review. Had this for over a year. Huge buyers remorse! Does not humidify. Needs constant cleaning. Water pump seems to clog up a lot. Walmart evaporative humidifier does a better job according to separate humidity sensor for a 10th of the cost. Dyson looks good, over engineered and marketed in my opinion. Save your money and look for more affordable and effective options.

THATS CRAZY!!!! Suddenly my humidifier stopped working. 😭 Dyson is sending me a replacement tho. But damn, that happened to me and you’re talking about it. Wild.

Note at 2:40 thats the catalytic filter, not the carbon. The carbon filter is blended within the hepa filter.

On 2:38 I believe you made a mistake when mentioning the filters, first it's the humidifier filter (orange color), then it's the formaldehyde filter (blue color), after that it's the Combi 360 Glass filter which is the carbon filter and HEPA filter (grey for carbon and white for the HEPA). Also I wasn't aware that the humidifier gets the Dyson carbon filters wet 2:49.

Seems like a bad installation or unit, it shouldn't wet that part and neither should there be that much dust inside the chamber, it should be fully sealed

Heyy, I don't have the HP09 but I do have two HP07's and they're great!! I have a 2 separate humidifier's with distilled water since it's getting so dry where I am.

Hi! I would recommend a levoit air purifier and a dreo humidifier. The most important feature on a air purifier is the filter. Depending on the room size, a 250 Sq foot room would recommend the levoit core 400 or vital 200 ($170) + dreo 4l humidifier ($45). If you want more high end, I personally use alen air purifiers with their oem filters. Their top filter costs $130 but weight 3x filters from most other companies. They last me over a year of use 24/7 on low. Combo is hard because cool mist humidifiers even the $30 ones will outperform the Dyson as a humidifier.

So I bought one today….. when I am setting it to heat, I am unable to run the fan at speed 10. It does ramp up then within a minute or the fan speed drops to what feels like 1 but the screen still displays 10… Feels like a waste of time if it can’t heat a run unless it’s faulty. I had one of these in the UK and it worked perfectly.

No. You need a dehumidifier for that. But you normally wouldn't need it in a bedroom unless you live somewhere humid and don't use an ac.

cringey water tank, huge opening and heavy. while there is reuse of function with an air purifier and humidifier, the benefit is so small and it can be replicated by simply putting a separate humidifier to the airflow of the fan. still, Dyson is commendable for integrating an air purifier and weak fan and I haven't seen any product that copied this idea. There is a Xiaomi air purifier where you can attach a duct to make it blow air in one direction but it does not move.

Overrated ...my experience has been bad..from day one the unit did not work and is yet to be replaced..Dyson costs 3 times more ..is it value for money..not for.me.
