I was honestly pretty surprised the Animal 2 didn't smoke the animal 3 with its much better agitation. Knowing this, I can easily recommend the animal 3 more now because of its better all floor performance without sacrificing lots of carpet cleaning power!

Wow I was expecting the animal 2 to completely destroy the animal 3. I still would recommend the animal 2 more though it has slightly better performance and a larger cleaning head. Plus it has been out for 6 years so it’s very reliable.

The animal 2 and animal original are great carpet vacs. But my house has a lot of hard floors in my laundry room, bathrooms, and most of the downstairs. The animal 2 trends to snowplow cat food and other larger debris while the animal 3 picks it up fine

I think there should more videos on how well an upright vacuum deep cleans carpet. To me, that’s one of the most important things when it comes to buying a vacuum, other than a having a sealed system and a self cleaning brushroll. You should try this test with some Shark models you have next time.

The problem with deep cleaning tests is how unreliable they are. Carpet cleaning performance can vary so much because everyone's carpet is different

I’m surprised that this brushroll on the new animal 3 performs almost as well as the old one. They probably increased airflow to make up for the lack of agitation. It’s good that they kept the same powerful cleaning power. Shark didn’t do the same with the stratos unfortunately. The navigator nv352 does a better job than the stratos.

This video no matter how old has informed my purchase to replace the Dyson 2 that finally broke near the pivot point due to a PTSD rage attack with the Dyson three… Ostensibly for the very qualities that they improved upon versus what I tolerated many times over with the Dyson 2

I was surprised that the Dyson animal ball 2 did a great job because of the brush roll but I still like the animal ball 3 because of the anti tangled brush roll that removes hair and goes into the bin
