To just clean the brushes, cover and underneath there you do not need to remove any metal screws, My DC07 soleplate did not have the longer piece that covers the belt. I didn't need to remove screws to clean the brush or clean the area. After I removed the soleplate and facing the brush, I pulled up the brush on the left and moved the belt over to the right on the brush I then cleaned off all the hair and dirt off the brushes using a toothbrush and scissors, I used a scrubbie on the plastic parts that were dirty, putting the brush back in place was a little tricky, after you put the belt back in place on the brush and pushing to the right those squared ends need to be face up, it took a little time while pulling the left side of the housing out a little, I was surprised at all the dirt on the plastic part near the brushes. Thanks for the video

I've taken my sole plate off as I have a loud rubbing noise on mine. But I can't see what's wrong.

+Sharon Hopton If you take the brush assembly off it should spin freely on the bearings and spindle. If it does not check for hair, cotton and other debris between the bearings and the roller itself.

You never specified how the ends are suppose to be properly seated. Where exactly are the notches suppose to seat?
@eSpares6 жыл бұрын
Hi Diane, when fitting the new brush roll on a DC07 it just fits into the casing, there are no lugs for it to fit into and the belt and soleplate keep it in the correct position.

That is not a brush roll for a US built DC07 with a clutch. The correct brush is a flat, twisted brush roll, with a belt clutch system. This must be the UK version.

That is correct John. If you are replacing a clutched version use the following video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5TMlJlritlob8k

After trying to do this. It was not like your video. There is a cover over the belt. It's my fiance's vacuum. Totally stressed me out, and frankly it doesn't work good. In my opinion, Kirby is king and Dyson can't even compare

Hi Brandon, we have had other people comment on how difficult this can be and it is the way it has been designed by Dyson.
