I've had a DC21 motorhead for the past 14 years and it's still going strong. I wish they still made them like this.

I have recently bought a refurbished dc24 and the head was new. It is brilliant and it has a brilliant suction

Thank you for this Dyson demonstration, Roger. I think the plastic “nub” on the hose is meant to prevent the user from pulling too much hose into the wand and perhaps damaging it. It’s like a stopper that makes sure the hose is stretched to the proper position when extending the wand all the way. The hose must anchor to the innermost tube and is pulled into the contraption when you extend the wand. The DC23 must be bigger because it has many more cyclones....methinks.
@ibaisaic6 жыл бұрын
Until I watched this video back before making it public, I didn’t realise that the hose actually retracts into the want when you extend it.
@beko19876 жыл бұрын
That is bloody shocking! I'm shocked and I'm only at the part where you've found the cyclone water! The magic refurb hammer is here and waiting, that'll be a piece of cake as it's a dc08 with some extra electricity (although I probably can't stick the hose through the machine)
@ibaisaic6 жыл бұрын
The vacuums I’m hoping to send you to refurb need your polishing skills. Most of the Dyson’s I’ve got will just be dismantled and rebuilt using new parts. How do you wash the hoses in your washing machine. Do you put something else in the drum to protect the washer and hoses or just put them in on their own. I plan to wash a load of hoses in my Hoover washer before I put my AEG back.

Hi, just to let you know the cyclone assembly isn't broken it is supposed to be like that so it fits the dirt entry into the bin
@Jaze2022 Жыл бұрын
1. Joint is swivel 2. The "missing" part on the bin is normal and for seal removal 3. Power house can be cleaned. Just tape off the electrical connector on both ends. I used tuck tape.
@Jaze2022 Жыл бұрын
You can fully disassemble the vacuum for deep clean. I just did that to my second hand dc21 that was filled with dog hair, smell, sand and white powdery crusted dust. Now it's like new. So it's doable.

When my cousins Dyson needs cleaning I soak the cylinder, pipe and filter in the bath with hot water and washing powder swill it all out and spin the filter in the washer on fast spin

The joint its ment to be there to stop it from going to far and it there to prevent it so it doesn't get stuck or broken in the.hose part

A lot of “lines of shame” on that one Roger. Give me a Hoover Junior/Senior and it’s low growl any day, and the Dyson, soooo noisy!!! 😂

Would love to see you do a refurbishment video for these vaccuum cleaners once you get the parts.

I am slowly getting the parts bit by bit for all the used Dysons I've bought, so I may try and make a video of dismantling them and reassembling with all the new parts.

the bin isn't broken its shaped like that so it can fit over the dirt inlet i have the currys exclusive one which i use in the garden and for when i dont want to get my Henry dirty . i apologize after watching it again it is broken but at first glance it appeared part of the design
@ibaisaic6 жыл бұрын
I’m still not sure if it was broken or part of the design as it has a rough edge to it so part of it may have broken off. I will check it again once it is out of storage to refurb.

ah i see by the way have you ever heard or Blomberg its a supposed German company had an emergency with our Electrolux fridge today wont stay closed because the hinge has broken so the door springs open i have barricaded it with my Sebo that did the trick only thing was i needed a fridge asap so my local electrical store talked me into a Blomberg will be fitted by 3pm tomorrow so that is good service.

I’ve heard of Blomberg but even though they may be a German brand, I doubt their products are made in Germany now.

yes that was my worry however they have good feedback on reevoo and my electrolux under counter fridge lasted nearly 11 years so cant complain apart from the fact its been getting very cold at the bottom and warm at the top lately my cucumbers have been very stiff which normally id be happy about a stiff cucumber infront of me however in this context im not anyway im relatively confident that it should be alright comes with a 5 year guarantee so gives an estimation to its longevity

Hopefully you’ll still be able to buy a Dyson canister when the time comes.

Very true. If not I'd be happy with a Hoover or Eureka canister. Better yet Electrolux makes similar machines that are lightweight and bagless for everyday cleaning.

I love the older dysons better than the new ones. More powerful with the heavier power heads. The new ones get clogged up with just a dime.

Identical to my DC20 but yours has the motor head and a slightly longer hose. Also sounds the exact same.

Hi Roger, My 2 1/2 year old son Albert is obsessed with vacuums and your videos. I was wondering if you give give him a shout out in one of your videos? We live in Sydney, Australia. We have an older Wertheim model 3030T made in Slovenia. It's black and grey and has lasted quite well over the years in case you've ever done a review of that vacuum. Albert now plays with it every day while watching your reviews. He also has a toy Dyson which he loves. Thanks for all the video's they are great. Regards, Matt.
@ibaisaic6 жыл бұрын
I can’t do individual shoutouts anymore because I get too many requests, but I plan to do a shoutout video soon for people that request them. Look out for a video asking people if they want a shoutout and comment under that and I will say hello to Albert. I had one Wertheim vacuum but they are not common in the UK and I think they have stopped selling that brand here now.
