Depending how old the V15 is they did upgrades to the V11-V15. A more robust Hepa filter and premotor filter assembly with stronger webbing and support and stronger and double lipped O ring gaskets and support wider sensor magnets on the outer edge of the filter so the system can read the install filter message as well ( which was another error). Upgrades to the radial seals and the round vents were also done. This is on the PRO series V11 and V15. The weaker webbing in the filter caused swelling issues because of the motors suction and caused bypassing of microscopic particulate to pass through, causing overheating and lots of error codes and unwanted cleaning filter messages to appear. This also created PCB board malfunction and microprocessor joints or solder joints to soften. All that flexing due to the 16000 pulses per second was an issue as well creating problems. The advanced radial seal improvements and over heating problems also prevented the trigger fulcrum from breaking as well. They also did a trigger upgrade as well. Hence the pro series was a better built Vacuum and also an upgraded battery management system was integrated into the removeable batteries. They probably did a software chip update as well. The V15 was a touch and go with the earlier systems and very symptomatic at the beginning. Same with the V11. Mine has no issues because its the V11 absolute PRO series. There is also an error reset trick you can do by taking two pill magnets at the end of two telescoping tools and bypass the filters hall effect sensors 180 degrees apart from each other to sense the filter magnets and push the trigger and it will run the motor. If the clean filter message does not come on after 6 minutes then the system is reset. However if the error message displays again then the issue is in the PCB possibly due to overheating.

I have the second fault like yours when the dyson v15 just stops working without showing a fault message. What you think is the issue? Display is good and battery also good.

Interesting ! I have both issues on two different units, regarding the error message, I didn’t care and I continue to use it like that, it’s nice to see the fix. Regarding the unit with the motor that stops, I had a different experience. On this motor the screen was broken, I unplugged the screen and the motor was working again correctly, I was able to find a new screen for sales and when I installed it the issue with the motor that stop was gone. So it seems that the pcb behind the screen is also doing some magic.

Even if it displays that error, the vacuum cleaner works normally. You did very well to continue using it without stressing too much about it. Regarding the problem with the display, the electronic board that contains the display has its own controller that communicates constantly with the controller of the vacuum cleaner. If there is a problem on the display, most likely the vacuum cleaner becomes non-functional. The vacuum cleaner can be used without a connected display or the display can be replaced with a functional one. Congratulations for being able to fix it!

Weird that the motor chip needed replacing. I'd have thought the particle sensor the would be the problem.
@techfixPOV Жыл бұрын
The particle sensor has no role in this error. The microcontroller is responsible for generating this message. More precisely, the problem is of a software nature and can only be fixed by replacing the microcontroller that contains it

Please , what is the thing wich the filter contact it to inform that the filter is on ? can we do this thing or capter off or on position to let think the motor that the filter is on even we don’t put the filter ? Where is the sensor of filter please ?
@techfixPOV26 күн бұрын
I notice that you have already found the other video where you can see the sensor.

@ yes but how it works ? is it when it contact the filter ? is there some switch or something like that or an optical sensor ? can I do something to let the sensor thinking that filter is always here even if I get it off or not ?

Hi Techfix, love the vidoes! I have a v15 that turns on lcd display when tigger is pulled but no motor response. Battery is full and no warning messages. Is the motor bad? Can it be purchased separately? Thank you,

Is this bug is an issue with recent batches or is it since release?
@techfixPOV Жыл бұрын
It was a batch with problems. Unfortunately, I don't know if they are still for sale. It is possible that it still exists in stores with older stocks. The new batches do not have this problem.

How do you copy the data from the old chip to the new one?
@techfixPOV5 ай бұрын
You can't do that, the controller memory is protected. In my video I replaced the defective chip with one from another vacuum cleaner that had a different problem. So the chip is already written, there is no need to copy the memory from the old/defective one. You only need to write it if you replace it with an empty/new one.

Hello TechFix, I recently bought V15 body a to upgrade my V11 and got this Filter error... Dyson sent me new body and still the same issue... 2nd unit is being tomorrow send to repair service... I'm curious if they replace/fix any part or send me another new unit... BR, Roman

Hi, they will send you a new unit or a new main body. To be able to solve this error, the service unit should have a special programmer and the new firmware. I don't think that Dyson will make these tools available to all services. There was probably a batch of vacuum cleaners with this problem and you were unlucky enough to receive a second vacuum cleaner with the same problem. Normally, before receiving the new unit, it should be service tested to ensure that it does not have the same problem. Good luck and don't worry, this model is a very successful one and you shouldn't have any other problems with it as long as you keep it away from liquids.

I just had the same problem. I could solve it very simple: just pulled the accu / Batterie pack of and a few minutes later back. The Problem was solved!
