The base of the Samsung Jet 90 charges an extra battery in addition to the handle, and the Costco version comes with this extra battery (and a low price). This is handy if you want a somewhat lighter handle but the ability to swap out the battery for extended vacuuming. The Samsung also has an optional auto empty base that has excellent filtration. For those who are chemically sensitive, the Samsung has no-off gassing odor even when operating and has a higher than standard HEPA filter. Missing from many of these vacs is the ability to stand up on their own or have an easy way to store the extra power heads.

Are you sponsored or in any way encouraged / influenced by Dyson? I enquire as I have both the Dyson V11 and LG Cord Zero and my experience has been the polar opposite of yours. With the LG clearly exceeding in lightness, quietness, suction power and overall effectiveness. Not to mention costing significantly less yet including more accessories, 2 x batteries and filters, being easier to empty, having a much better stand and a wonderful mopping attachment that works extremely well. My biggest issue with the Dyson is that over the 2.5 years of owning it, something has inexplicably failed and malfunctioned every 6 months. First the screen went, then the battery, then it wouldn't power on for more than a quick 2 second blip, and finally the power head stopped rotating. The first 3 issues were resolved under warranty with Dyson, to their credit, sending out replacement parts free of charge. Now that the vacuum is out of warranty however all repairs are at our cost and we simply can't afford to nor have any desire to sink money into a very expensive product that clearly isn't built to last. Speaking to others whom own Dyson, it's a resounding experience and watching or reading reviews elsewhere indicates a similar trend. Dyson is simply the most expensive vacuum yet far from the best. Seems odd to me that our experiences could be so worlds apart.
@ModernCastle2 жыл бұрын
I am not sponsored by Dyson, nor has Dyson ever sent me a single free product. I am in Dyson's affiliate program, so I can create referral links for Dyson.com. I am also an affiliate of Samsung and LG. Several months after publishing this video Samsung sent us free products (prior to that, we had received none; though I don't think Samsung sending us free products had anything to do with this video or any other we've created). We have received 2 free cordless vacuums from LG. Samsung / LG have not ever paid for any type of sponsorship. It's hard to say why our experiences are so different. I can only speak to what I actually experience while testing. At least in my experience, Dyson vacuums tend to perform better. Not to take anything away from Samsung or LG, both of which are fantastic vacuums in their own right.
@serioustrader98642 жыл бұрын
Cordless vacuums are a joke. The Dyson v15 can only run for about 8 minutes on highest/strongest suction setting. So if you want to clean a 4 bedroom house that is fully carpeted, It will take a few days with all the recharging.

@serioustrader9864 and why would you need to clean on turbo setting the entire time?

One thing to note is dyson does indeed have the highest rated suction. But, its only activated on certain circumstances. For the v10 (v10 animal and absolute), all v11 models, and v15 only, if the torque drive/high torque head is used on hardfloors and not on carpet, with the soft cleaner head, or with suction non powered attachments, it will run on its highest rated suction. If not within these parameters, it runs on a high suction level but not on its highest. U can tell if u exercise what I said. U will hear a difference in the motor's pitch in sound

@@jri5026 I actually ended up buying a Bespoke. I originally bought the Jet 90 but ended up returning it for the Bespoke. The Bespoke is lighter in weight, comes with the mop attachment, the vacuum stick sits onto the clean station, so it's one piece rather than 2 like the Jet 90. You don't need a separate canister that holds the dust to use it on the clean station. The Bespoke also comes with 2 batteries rather than 1 like the Jet 90.

All well & good to compare performance but no one ever examines the repair situation. I have a Dyson stick vacuum. To replace a battery took 9 weeks, to replace a broken connector took 9 weeks, to re repair the badly installed connector took 7 weeks and now to source a new dust collection canister I have to wait 20 weeks. No way can it be possible to be a satisfied Dyson owner because even the authorised distributor carries no parts stock. Dyson, never again.

The only battery test that makes sense is full power. We don't know effectively what % power usage each company decides to use for low or medium. Dyson may run for an hour and a half but if it's set to 25 watts, it probably doesn't do much. Samsung winning on full power gives me 2 units to compare. Power AND time. 10 mins at 200 watts is good. Dyson with 8 minutes at 220 watts isn't bad either.

The LG A9? Or a different model?
@stason80962 жыл бұрын
This review is not accurate unfortunately, the LG A9 also comes with a soft roller brush that would efficiently remove cereals or big particles from the floor which I did not see it being used in this video. IMO the LG A9 vacuum is same as the Dyson v15. The only advantage Dyson V15 would have over the LG would be the anti tangle nozzle and maybe the run time but dual battery is always provided by LG.
@ModernCastle2 жыл бұрын
Your comment is not accurate. The LG A9 CordZero All in One Auto Empty model A939KBGS that we actually tested in this video does NOT include a soft roller brush. Anyone can see that by merely looking at the product page. Yes there are SOME A9 model variants that include the soft roller brush, but it's not a commonly included accessory.
@stason80962 жыл бұрын
@@ModernCastle Okay but I think it's important to mention about the nozzles used as well. Because you're comparing a soft roller nozzle that's specifically designed to remove big particals (In dyson and samsung), with a multi surface nozzle that's definitely not designed remove big particals (In LG). Which imo does not tell the whole story and is why I said this review is inaccurate. Most of the LG cordzero vacuums comes with the soft roller nozzle right out the box. Maybe not in your country I guess?
