Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh Character Roulette! Each week ‪@MBTYuGiOh‬ and I will spin a wheel to build a deck from packs featuring cards used by anime characters throughout Yu-Gi-Oh's history, and then we’ll craft 1 card of each rarity from our pack to round out our decks. After a character’s pack wins the match it’s removed from the wheel, while the losing pack is given a second chance at victory! Correction on Jaden: He has himself, the Spirit of the Supreme King, which is technically still just him but from a long time ago, Yubel, and Professor Banner’s soul is within Pharaoh the cat who travels with Jaden. Also, in Season 4, the spirit of “Honest” (yes that really good YuGiOh card) was also inside of Jaden for a little while Edit: Also, the Spirit of the Supreme King is actually a manifestation of the “Gentle Darkness” which is a counterpart to the “Light of Destruction” not to be confused with the regular Darkness that Jaden defeats in season 4 The lesson of GX is balance between light and darkness essentially l

Tbh i think leaning harder into the Lair strat was probably just better Not only is the Clorless strat a 4 card combo, it doesnt even clear the Sacred Beasts if Fallen Paradise is on the field. Whereas just Lair and any card with a tributing cost gets around that protection. It also means you don't need to run 3 Reign-Beaux, a card that doesn't do anything Also it would've made Crush Cards very happy :)

There just wasn't a great way to do it because we'd have to use the crafts on Lilith and Ahrima so the lineup would've been: 1 Lilith 1 Ahrima 1 diabolos 2 lair 5 virus cards That's only 10 cards in the deck and without the dark world crafts they were even worse. It seemed good in theory but it didn't make sense when we sat down to build the deck

@@sangramos I fail to see how Crush Card outs all of the Sacred Beasts, except in the very specific situation of them all being either on field or in hand (Uria is required to be on field), with at least 2 Continuous Traps in GY, and somehow no Fallen Paradise which is kind of a priority with that deck And even then, that sets up for Armityle

I think it is also latin for tragedy and it sounds about right. Either that or they changed the german word so much it sounds like the latin one. Edit: as someone pointed out, it is not latin, it is more likely german and I confused them, my bad. Thinking about it, it makes sense considering how much they love german in GX.

@@yunfanji You were closer. You can check Wiktionary, but it's originally Greek, imported into Latin, and you can check the IPA pronunciation there. Joseph still gets the W if you go by Classical Latin or the original Greek. Italianized-Latin is another story.

It was actually low-key distracting to watch GX during that Twitch marathon, since Yubel is voiced by Persona 5 Morgana's actress. And I'm sorry I see this demon guardian of Jaden's and I just hear a cat putting on a voice changer. Anyway MBT does remember that weird dramatic tone the dub does with her 10/10.

Idk why you would even WANT the deck to be good though. It's a pseudo FTK deck that hand loops you and then OTKs you on turn 3. It is really just kept in check if Droll/Shifter are running around rampant outside of potentially losing to itself with weird hands.

One little nitpick I have about the opening title sequence. When Doug states that winning decks are removed from the wheel, the corresponding character is shown dropping out of frame. I think it would be more on point if they were rising out of frame, like they're ascending from the competition rather than being knocked out. Like I said, it's minor. Been enjoying Master Roulette so far.

Fun Fact: Phantom of Chaos technically is a Sacred Beast Card. It's the Level 4 Card of the Deck. Yubel used it in the Anime, but it doesn't really help the Deck at all.

I've been playing a ton of Yubel on ladder and never knew Opening was a soft once per turn! I've always just used the extra copies as discard foder for Opening's summon effect.

Yeah dawg, Spirit Gates fucking snowballs like crazy in the Yubel deck once you realize that the *ACTIVATION* of the card is once per turn lol. Plus if you have one on the field already and another in hand with a lvl 10 you get a free special from GY by pitching it and then adding it back to hand, all before you slam the one you added back to hand down to do it again 😂

I dont agree with the comments i think dark world was the right choice, i think putting like nine bricks in an already bricky deck to try to make colorless work was the problem. N craft on lightning, s craft on brainwashing or corridor, ur craft on either another grapha or new reignbeaux. Not playing the dark deal seemed bad, it cancels his fusion and lets you plus.
