You are correct about the light mount. Also know that there is no voltage step down for the head light, it runs at full battery voltage. The headlight actually sucks because it projects a small tight square of light out front, there is no spillover to help see the edges of the road. So if you want to replace the headlight with a 12v model like I did, you will have to get a voltage stepdown. I mounted the step down inside the frame neck where all the wiring connectors are, plenty of room there.
@E_bikeDadАй бұрын
thanks for that info I'm probably going to do that cause the light does have a tight square beam.

Can't wait to add this bike to my collection. I ordered it 2 weeks ago, so hopefully I won't have to wait to long. It also looks like I'll be receiving version 2. I don't see any info on the website about the differences between v1 and v2, but I'm glad they're fixing any issues.

Thanks for making a really great video. My bike is due to show up here one week from today. I got it on Amazon. I was going to get the extended warranty for 2 years but I started checking into it and it just seemed like it was from a different company and I didn't think I trusted it. So hopefully I won't have a problem. I checked the other day I still could get the warranty but I don't think I really want to mess with it.

So before you get this make sure he knows the laws on the road. All the videos of kids getting in trouble on these are from them breaking simple traffic violations. The biggest one is riding in the opposite lane and blasting through red lights. This bike is fun, but it is fast.

@@E_bikeDad for sure much appreciated!! Thank God I live in a Golfing community so the local police have a high tolerance. On another note I’ve watched a few more of ur vids and love the positive vibes man!! Oh and if I may offer you friendly advice on wheeling.. try using one foot down and the other on the peddle. I know it will not help with the throttle response, but it may help you keeping a balance point for longer.. Keep writing man and stay safe.

thanks for this. hardly anyone has these yet still and this covers alot. im still in the air between this and the talaria xxx i know its a big price difference but the hub motor to mid drive is the biggest thing. would you say this hub motor has alot of torque as well and i understand you mentioned you cant wheelie but does it feel powerful enough to be able to?
@E_bikeDadАй бұрын
@@joshfosho I think it has enough to wheelie, but not as easy as the bigger bikes. You definitely have to help it with a good preload. The problem is as the battery declines. You definitely don’t have the energy to get that front wheel up. I’m working on my next edit where I did a full rundown. You seen that video I talk about how the front end won’t come up at about the 50% mark. if you’re looking for something to go little faster and have a little more power than a regular bike that everyone else has also kind of cool. This is a good one. But if you want the range with the bigger one. I got this one because it can paddle under its own power in my state if eBay goes over 28 it’s considered a moped by law. You don’t have to get a motorcycle license, but you have to get a moped tag which is basically a small license plate. But mine can operate with petals. It falls in Gray area.
@joshfoshoАй бұрын
@@E_bikeDad yeah the pedals and looks of this one are what really got me but as you mention I have seen that about the power and I definitely would prefer a bit more but still. Great info and will keep in consideration as well

great video thanks for sharing it! Trying to understand about when you said you almost wiped out in the dry due to the tires - could you elaborate on that?
@E_bikeDadАй бұрын
Awesome I’m glad you like it with the knobs on the tires if you turn at a certain angle and you’re giving it power, it will lose grip if it was a street tire you would have more area that would stay gripping the street. These off road tires with a lean the knobs on the end actually start bouncing the back tire and it slides a little. When you have some speed, and you’re turning with a good bit of lean on the bike.
@R45iD3LАй бұрын
@@E_bikeDad ahhh I get you now - I don't have much experience riding with tires like that - but thanks for the explanation I get it - if I got one of those I'd definitely have to switch them to a street spec, maybe like a street tire that had some tread on it for like rain.

@E_bikeDadАй бұрын
I’ve seen a lot of stuff on the Internet Internet, not this bike in particular but we’re just talking electric bikes in general and I’ve seen a Suran go through a creek three times and still operate. I’d say if it starts raining while you’re riding, you might be OK. Worry about the battery connection at the bottom because this bike has the battery connection on the bottom instead of the top. Most of the other batteries have a connection on the top and that’s where I think you would get a short. I’m not brave enough to ride in the rain. I did get caught when it was raining and I just pulled under a gas station cover once it stopped. I took off riding again.

I also hate the seat. It’s uncomfortable and angles forward so you’re constantly pushing against the handlebars to stay back on the seat. Wears out the shoulders after a long ride

@@E_bikeDad yeah they kinda screwed up with that one. I’m thinking of even getting a shorter rear shock to bring the seat down a tad. Nice video. I’ve made a few vids on this bike as well. Great tip on the front brake. I ended up getting the angle grinder out for mine 😂
