My dogs were freaked out by the vibration, so we use low level stim. And besides, with vibration only you don't really have control in an emergency situation where you need to stop them in their tracks. I got a high quality e collar (mini educator) and followed larry krohn's method. I have had amazing success.

My baby almost got hit today and it was all my fault. I been training her with beep and vibrate. And she was doing door. Well she seen her friend and ran across the street she totally ignored my vibs. I hit the stim and nothing. Well I got home took off collar and tested it on me. At 3 I could feel it bit I have came to conclusion it's her fur. How do u make sure it's touching her skin

When people see my dog’s Ecollar, they freak out like I’m abusing him. They start saying things like oh but he’s a good boy, he listens. I’m like people my dog is off leash trained, the E collar is a freedom and safety tool in case it has to be used. I started training my husky at the age of 6 weeks, then got professional help at 8-9 weeks for basic obedience, we trained every day for 5 times then he went back again for his teenage/adult obedience training and reinforced everyday since. We introduced him to the E collar with the trainers guidance at 9 months. He’s getting ready for his CGC. We’re still training everyday but not as strict as before. He does have a big personality and temper as a teenage husky but that’s addressed and corrected. I tell people, if you love your dog, you’d love to give them freedom and proper training so that everyone is happy. And training is for life not just the first year, they’re not robots. Ecollars actually are not illegal in the UK :) they are in the process of being banned (based on false data) but that ban hasn't come in yet. The ban also doesn't cover '"anti-bark collars" or fence shock collars, which I think is insane as they are far more dangerous than remote ecollars

I'm agree for your video! But one thing! Before to use the ecollar on, your dog need to wear it 2 weeks. The dog will be collarwise. After this, do the recall, place and sit training 3 week. After this, the force fetch training

My wife's niece has a small farm on a busy road. Her husband used an E collar to train his dogs not to run out on the road and getting run over. He never used shock though. Vibrate and sound was enough.

I just bought Petoffers Dog Training Collar for my German shepherd. . She was barking at my neighbors dog non stop. I don’t have to use the stimulate or the vibrate. All I do is press the voice recording button to correct my dogs behavior of barking. She stops!

Same in Sweden we are not allowed to use shock collars, prongcollars, or even crate train dogs. Couse they see this only as negative punishment and not the great training tools they are. That explaines why its easy to find dogs about 6 months old needing new home or many insecure/agressive dogs in our country.

Remember folks don't just buy an e-collar that shocks!! With today's technology you can get collars that beep, spray, vibrate and shock. My dog's e-collar beaps vibrates and shocks depending on what button do I hold in from 0 to 100 on each button the vibrate function was enough for all of my dogs I've never had to use the shock function. And they also have an auto no bark it keeps them from barking automatically.

My husky somehow manage to escape from his leash an was rough housing with a golden retriever who did the same exact thing, the Retriever ran across the street in mid traffic I was so scared I though she would get hit by a car, I couldn’t stop my husky he wouldn’t listen at all, long story short the golden retriever ran home safely, but the owner made up a story that the dog was hit by a car threatened to sue me, turns out nothing happen to their dog, I really need something to manage my husky behavior, he is a sweet guy but when he is outside he wants to be free, an he wants to play ruff with other dogs

Hey there.. I live in Syria and I have a husky named Kira. She's almost Hila's twin except for the tail. Kira's tail is mostly black and grey on top. I tried the link for the e-collar and I found one that I liked but I can't seem to buy it..! It keeps sending me to the 4 year plan and I don't want that.. There's no button for an obvious "buy"... E collars create stimulations so I'm not sure why you would tell people to not use the stimulation setting when its not shocking them if set properly... It's the most effective way of using an ecollar.

Professional and law enforcement use electronic shock collar if used properly they work better than any other method especially on breeds like huskies and GSD if you use a low level it does not hurt the animal and teaches them not to nip and jump it sucks but it’s better than having a accident and having a law suit or worse and losing the animal. And huskies use their mouth to communicate and is a hard instinct to break

I just bought a Dr.Trainer Dog Training Collar for my German shepherd. This Training Collar has auto retractable and will not cause irritation to my dog's neck. Also I can record my voice to the system, I can use my voice recording to train my dog, say goodbye to the traditional beep sound for good. So far it seems really effective. All I do is pressing the voice recording button to correct my dogs behavior. We hardly have to use the shock setting.

Dingis TV from my understanding, an aggressive dog is a scared dog, and proper training will help reduce fear and improve your dog’s trust. If you don’t have the patience to work with your dog daily, you don’t want to get an e-collar.

I have the mini-educator which has a shock feature from 0-100, and a vibration setting. I trained my dog to work off leash with the lowest possible setting that he can sense... and to tell the truth, the vibration setting scares him more than the shock setting which is a mild tickle. He flaps his head like when his ears were itchy.

I have to use the e collar for the first time tomorrow while I'm gone at work. I just got one today. My pup has seperation anxiety and whines and barks whenever I leave. Period. It's either that or I might have to put him up for adoption which really is not an option I'm willing to even think about but that may be the only way since I cannot miss work. Any tips welcome. He is in training and I practice crate training but not much prevail. Thanks in advance.

-You have to get your dog’s energy out by daily exercise, daily walks, interactive toys, puzzles to calm his mind down. -And you should ignore your dog just for a minute when you come home or even if you got out of the room for a second and came back (don’t make a big thing about your pup seeing you). -Your puppy needs to be crated at least 20 minutes before leaving for work.

Loki bites my arms & feet, legs, butt haha (he gets a lil better with reducing his bites each week) but now I’m not so sure I’m using the collar properly 😬 I don’t keep the collar on him all day, never when I crate him. 4 months is a bit young, I just got done raising two puppies from 8 weeks and that 3-6 month period is just a bit of insanity, positive reinforcement training seems to help / calm them down a bit during this period, when they are a bit older like 8+ months it seems like the E-Collar is a viable route, just imo

Yeah just understand he’s a puppy. Keep watching training videos and go on long walks with treats and distractions. I still have problems with my 1.5 yr old bull terrier but he’s no where the way he acted when he was a puppy, but I would let him walk where he wanted on the leash at that age and just avoided people and dogs.

I think they area good tool for balanced training. Dogs need rewards and discipline to learn. Pinch collars do not hurt dogs, they give an uncomfortable pressure so the dog knows they did something wrong. Check out Upstate Canine Academy's video on pinch collars.
