Fleischmann's new BR 23 077 steam loco finally arrives in time for Christmas. Happy New year to you all and thanks for supporting me through last year.

Nice loco but all 6 main wheels locked up at 11:59 as it goes over the points which is a real shame and spoils it. Was planning on getting one but all their steam locos have been below par this year so not going to buy any more Fleischmann personally. Thanks for showing the video and all the best for the year.

Yeah I did notice it but didn't realise until after I had posted the video. I normally call any faults out as I like to be honest and up front as you will see on some of my other videos too. Thanks for leaving a comment and stay safe.

I hope you manage to get one which is not faulty. I have had to send mine back to be replaced as you will see on my video at 11:59 the wheels lock up and the sound is poor too.

@@ngauging I placed the order in October 2020. I sent the dealer an email today and asked for a refund because I never received the locomotive; he took my money in October.

@@RogerPerkins1939 Roger that is pretty poor service to say the least my friend. Cannot say who is to blame, might be he cannot get hold of them being outside Europe and there was only a limited quantity too my friend.

Ich bin froh, dass Ihnen die Lok gefällt und dass sie das Geld auf jeden Fall wert ist, obwohl einige der Flieschmanns-Loks im letzten Jahr oder so unter dem Standard lagen, seit Roco die Macht übernommen hat. Very good videos, subject of sound at N-Fleischmann. Thanks for that. The sound is really amazing. I am actually an H0 carpet train driver. But before Christmas I took out my Fleischmann N from childhood. I bought 3 new Fleischmann locomotives straight away. I had to give two back straight away. They squealed more than they drove. I am unsure about the quality at Fleischmann. I saw in one of your videos that it said “made in romania” on the packaging. I couldn't see where my locomotives were made. You speak good German. My English teacher recommended that I listen to BFBS radio. But I still don't speak English. I hope the Google Translator does its job 🧐🙋🏻‍♂️Greetings from Germany

Klaus, es ist gut, dass Sie versucht haben, auf Englisch zu schreiben, und Google kann es so ziemlich konvertieren, wie Sie es sagen, aber es übersetzt nicht, wie Sie es sagen. Ich finde, dass ich fließend Deutsch sprechen kann, aber ich denke auf Englisch, wenn ich Deutsch schreibe, so dass meine auch falsch übersetzt. Aber zumindest verstehen mich die Leute die meiste Zeit. Fühlen Sie sich frei, meinen Kanal zu abonnieren, und ich werde mein Bestes tun, um meine Videos sowohl auf Deutsch als auch auf Englisch zu präsentieren, damit Sie verstehen können, was ich sage. Hi! Thanx for the video! By the way, F17 generator is called Lichtmaschine in German, and F18 ( I learned the word sludge from ya, thanx! ) is called Aus-schlacken... Nice Loco! I own the old version, which is really difficult to digitize, so I think I´m gonna buy this new one! So thanx for the sound check! Listen, I want to wish you a Happy New Year my friend! Hey McCormick thanks for taking the time to enlighten me and now you have reminded me what it is I do remember I have said it on other video just had a dark moment lol. I blame it on the pandemic! Hi mate. Great video. I agree with you about the drop in quality checking by Fleischmann with the locos and also your earlier blu tac video showed the poor fitting of the components. None the less, you did a great job. Sludge valve I thought of ‘scheiss ventil’ hahaha. I did notice a couple of tiny boo boos with the verb ‘shovelling’ (schaufeln) and verloren (to lose) quality rather than verlehren which you said (to deceive). But you did a much better German presentation than I could have done, so well done Dave and Guten Rutsch ins Neu Jahr mate. Keith

sludge? = entschlacken. dynamo = Dynamo (Lichtmaschine) zur Stromerzeugung für das Licht. Dynamo kennt jeder auch von seinem Fahrrad;) Nutzt leider nicht jeder, weil man wohl meint, besser NICHT gesehen zu werden ...

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich die Lok ausgetauscht habe, da sie es immer wieder tat. Ich hatte ein paar Probleme mit den Rädern bei mehreren Loks, aber lasse sie einfach ersetzen. Ich habe sie geölt und es hat sie befreit, aber ich habe sie trotzdem ersetzt. Ich wünsche Ihnen eine schöne Woche und danke, dass Sie einen Kommentar hinterlassen haben. Gruß Dave B.
