This is super helpful and packed full of everything we need to know about the devices themselves. Torque is SO IMPORTANT! So many people will benefit from this channel. 🙌

I've been doing my own nails at home for years now but since the pandemic I got into polygel. I thought I would never use an e-file but the more I progress to new things the more I want to learn. I bought a really basic cheap e-file to learn with and have just now upgraded it which leads to upgrading nail bits as well. I've binged your e-file series today and have learned an amazing wealth of knowledge such that now I will be more secure in my filing. Thank you so much for sharing what you know and not hoarding your secrets. There are a lot of pros out there as well as diy'ers and I love when professionals recognize that some people just want to learn how to better their skills for themselves. Thanks again 💜

Since I only do my own nails, and am still learning , I got a cheap file to start with. I can see I’ll need to get a better one soon, and will be watching to see what you say before moving on. It’s been OK to learn with, but I have done some damage too. Less damage now than in the beginning, but I do now think a better drill would help minimize the risk. Thank you for this wonderful video. It is so incredibly helpful and informative, just like all your videos. I started doing gel nails as a hobby earlier this year and bought a cheap E-file a few months back when it was on sale, but the handpiece is bulky and so heavy that I can't see myself using it. I thought to myself "how do people manage not hurting themselves with such a monstrous handpiece?" I do have hand problems (which is why I wanted to try an E-file in the first place, to reduce strain from filing) and weight is definitely an important factor for me. I was afraid to even try it out and it has been sitting in its box ever since. A couple of days ago I was looking for an efile with a smaller handpiece after I heard that there were very different ones, but I really have difficulty finding a good one here in Germany. The Erica MT-20 that you show in the video actually impressed me a lot. Not only is it slim and seems to be comfortable to handle, but it also looks nice and sturdy. The price seems reasonable for such a high quality product. Nice to know that the Erica E-files also come with an EU plug! The handpiece looks just like what I am looking for. I guess it is a bit too much money for me right now since it is still just a hobby, but it'll definitely be on my wishlist!

Some really common sense stuff that I wasn't thinking about. I bought a melody susie scarlet for home use. I didn't think about cleaning the dust off before taking the bit out. Duh. It makes so much sense. Also about turning off before reversing. Something that will preserve the motor. I have only used it to take off my acrylic one time. Thank goodness. This video is so helpful on how to maintain my little investment. Thank you so much.

SO how is torque measure exactly?? is it based on watts???? the higher the watts the stronger the torque???
@unicornkitteh53326 жыл бұрын
No, that is a completely different unit of measurement and honestly, good luck trying to find torque specs because as she mentions in the video, even the manufacturers dont really provide it. I researched probably 20 efiles before I got mine and only found torque specs on maybe 2 of them. I had tons of notes written down somewhere but cant remember what a good number is to look for off the top of my head, just try to keep researching.
@BajaRosie6 жыл бұрын
I was surprised that even kupa doesn’t have the watts listed but iirc watts do somehow determine torque abilities or maybe it’s just always been a coincidence for me when buying exiles that anything below 65 watts bogged down but anything 65 watts was able to handle a full time working tech. I first got a 20,000 rpm 15 w it would be fine for a beginner next was a 30 watt and it was significantly better, but my new 65w doesn’t stop no matter what!!!
