E-Flite UMX Planes rating my mine from 7 to number 1 in my opinion!

The radian is one of my favs. I like it because it’s a challenge to keep up without using the motor. It’s so quiet. I can fly it everyday at my house without bothering the neighbors.

The UMX TTE has flaps so it can land on a picnic table! I also use flaps when flying indoors; gives me the slow flight I need to keep from hitting walls.

In my opinion i think the radian should be higher up i have abused that plane so so much and it still fly's amazing

I agree. He doesn’t have his set up right, you can get a radiant to roll and loop much tighter than is shown in this video. Also, I have found with the Spektrum 1s 250mah batteries it will accelerate straight up.

I have 5 of those flyers & the A-10 is one of my favorite's. I fly it on a 3S 450, mounted just behind the canopy, for the best balance & responsiveness. It'll glide down flat on low stick, & punch out at max revs like a potato gun!! Try flying it with a lighter 3S pack, it just might surprise you. Also, consider adding a couple of 2mm carbon fiber bars beneath the nose of the Otter & A-10. The Otters particularly delicate nose will thank you.

The umx a10 and voodoo have to be my favorites. Both have great speed and maneuverability I did have to tinker with rates and expo for the a10

Cool video 👍🏼 I fly my UMX Airplanes more than my big ones. I really like the Timbers, so much so that i have all 4 Variations of them. I also like the VooDoo and Air Tractor. I need to pick up a Pitts and a Twin Otter, those Twin Otters are so cool looking.

Flaps are for stol flying. Try it lol. Idky so many people dont really like the flaps they give you more things to do. With a small breeze you can hang the timber like a heli.

Very interesting judging criteria. I do love my Air Tractor. A suggestion with the A-10 is to fly down when landing and keep tinkering with the CG. It likes more nose weight than most use.

I have the Voodoo, Pitts and Air Tractor. All 3 are excellent at what they do best, my favorite depends on my mood at the time. Haven’t flown any of the Timbers yet; they’re next on my list.

Justy opinion, your delivery of your dialogue sounded a little should I say waning in enthusiasm? It was like every thing you talked about had the tone of been there done that before, again this might sound like a critical comment, but I am trying to be constructive, I know you have probably flown these planes a thousand times, you might even be bored, i did watch whole video. A properly placed bit of excitement might of made my watching a little bit more enjoyable ! After watching other video, it might just be your natural cadence of speaking?the sing songy up and down?

Found your post on the facebook UMX group. The Air Tractor is one of my favorites as well, but personally I place the Pitts over the A.T. The Pitts is more snappy, landing smoothly is more challenging (which I enjoy the challenge of perfecting the art), and it's loud motor is a big help keeping track of the plane when you have to take your eyes off it to check your surroundings. I've lost track of my A.T. a couple times in flight for several seconds at a time when I had to glance away due to potential hazards. Today I maidened a NIB UMX Gee Bee, only flew one batery on it but it might be my #1 fav even over the Pitts. It's not quite as fast but it's far more nimble than the Pitts, also seems to be a bit less affected by wind gusts as well due to it's small stumpy wings.

The size of the plane really has no effect on flaps (or vise versa). Flaps will effectively slow any plane down and to be honest, the smaller the plane, the more they help because landings can be more squirlly with smaller planes. I just maidened my UMX Air Tractor today and even with 6MPH winds, it made about the same difference as it does my 59" Dynam C-188. Unless it's going directly nose in at 10MPH winds, it's going to be noticeable. The type of airframe has a lot to do with my use of them. Do I use them on a 3D plane? Never. But something scale like the Air Tractor? Yeah. Especially if I want a "scale looking landing". So, I don't really understand your repetitive commentary on that.

It’d be nice if you actually new what you were talking about when describing the planes and their features. The citation uses differential thrust. I do like the fact that you have one of each. I wish I had them all.

I have over 30 UMX planes, and different planes hit different flying moods ATM. of what I have… Best 3d: UMX Beast 3d. They really need to re-release this plane Best “go-to” plane: any one of the UMX Timbers Best biplane: 3 way tie between Beast 3d, UMX Pitts, and UMX Waco (V2) Best scale flyer: The rare UMX B17. Slightly underpowered, but long scale takeoffs and cool flybys are awesome. Need to fly in dead calm though. I did a steerable tailwheel mod which makes a huge difference in ground handling. Also the 2s Carbon Cub flies like a true cub…need to work that rudder! Most fun warbird: 2s UMX P51. Really cuts any wind and is fast as hell! Coolest powered sailplane: Was my UMX Radian, but the new UMX Conscendo is incredible fun! handles wind much better. OK, my least favorite: The UMX P3 Revolution. A psychotic biplane with a mind of it’s own. Not fun to fly! I thought it was me, but read of many others who don’t like it.

A pretty good review, but I think you just didn't go in depth enough with some of the planes as there is so much more to them. I had the A-10 II for 2 years and the UMX Timber X for one year and there is so much you can do with them than you think. I feel it's incorrect to judge the planes by how they perform right out of the box without finding their limits and abilities. You can fly any plane in a circle, so try something that will reveal unique qualities of the airplane, good or bad that people may want to be aware of. This would make a much more honest and helpful review.

I liked my A-10 but the linear servo's are awful and kept locking up. The last lock up was the planes death. Now flying an arrows 50 mm edf. More reliable, stronger, faster. That EPS foam & awful linear servo's needs to go, Horizon.

The UMX Air Tractor is a cracker-thin, fragile POS. I ran mine into some desert brush at low speed and the amount of damage is ridiculous, from bent plastic prop hub, to twisted front end and each wing cracked at the root. And the tail wheel design? Why do they mount the tailwheel directly to the rudder??? one bounced landing and you've ripped the rudder hinge. My XK A280 P51 is built like a tank compared to the AT and it has a properly designed tailwheel...all for less money.
