Vanakkam Mami, great video, we use kalchatti for storing pachadis n pickles. My amma and paati use maakal paniyaara kal......like u said paati lifts it effortlessly while mom doesnt use it much just becoz of its weight. Older generation r great....

Thank you maam.I have a question regarding the use of kadukinni/uruli.Are these made of alloys of iron /bronze or other metals?.Please confirm that they are not made of aluminium.Because they are heavy bottomed and used for making kuzhambu/sambar.I use it for making sweets which my daughter objects saying that they are all made of aluminium.I say that aluminum vessels are not this heavy and that it is made of an alloy of some thing other than aluminium.Pl.reply maam.Thank you.

Sembu is usually used for keeping water. We can use silver or brass for milk. For clay you need to be sure about the mud quality for cooking.

Not only common people but Ayurvedic and Cookware experts also have the same opinion. If so how many hours can we keep?If rice is cooked in bronze vessel which is not tin coated can we keep it in the same vengalam vessel? Please reply. Iron pans should be washed swept dry and apply coconut oil and kept uside down to avoid rusting.
