You are a good parent. Kids trying to master traditional sports might as well master pushing a hoop with a stick, or some other archaic past-time. Esports are the future, and you are wise to nurture the talent within your child- you might be the parent being thanked in the LOL version of the superbowl (the football version will be dead in a few decades, when their elderly fans either die off or adapt). Smart people adapt, and that seems to be what you are doing.
@jerkfudgewater1475 жыл бұрын
Yes for sure, in the future no one will ever move and the top teams that split $7,000,000 five ways a few times a year will be the richest people in the universe. You are very right! Most correct!! We will trade sprained ankles for type 2 diabetes and it will be glorious!
@tommydaape34125 жыл бұрын
@@quantumperception wait no, only the top .01% of players actually make money, and for everyone else the past time has no benefits. Traditional sports can get you in shape, but league of legends is for the most part a time killer to play with friends with no health benefits.
@quantumperception5 жыл бұрын
@@jerkfudgewater147 Yeah, because when football first started, those players were making millions. Oh wait, no, it took several decades for that to happen. And it isn't like LOL is growing faster than football did; nope, wait again, that is totally the case. That is okay though; keep thinking that brawn wins over brains, and nothing has changed in the last century. History totally isn't leaving you behind. Encourage your kids to play that old game that causes crippling leg/arm injuries, and massive brain damage; if they don't go pro, they can always use that brawn working construction for barely over minimum wage. Meanwhile, people like this guy will encourage the use of brains over brawn, and if their kid's LOL career doesn't pan out, their love of computers can actually be transferred to the jobs of the future, like coding or cyber security, and they can pay your kid to build their dream house. And yeah, I would rather have diabetes than CTE; don't act like those old sports don't have their drawbacks.
@quantumperception5 жыл бұрын
@@tommydaape3412 As I said in my other reply in this thread, LOL is just starting out, and football had the same situation when it first started; also LOL is growing faster than football ever did. In a decade or two (as opposed to five or six like football), there will likely be the same thing, with individual players being signed for multi-million dollar contracts. Also, it is getting kids into loving computers, and there are far more jobs now, and especially in the future, where computer skills will be FAR more valuable than being able to run fast or catch a ball. And sure, traditional sports may get you more active, but they also result in major injuries- look at football and traumatic brain injuries. So you let your kids play traditional sports, which also have a minuscule chance of making them any money, and in the meantime, they can get crippling limb injuries or CTE, and if they don't go pro, those muscles will help them delivering furniture or in construction; meanwhile, kids like this person's kid will be learning computer skills, with an equal shot of going pro (and a revenue source that is growing, not shrinking like the NFL/MLB/NBA), and if going pro doesn't work out, they can go into coding or cyber security (because they won't have jelly brains, unlike kids playing football), and maybe they will end up hiring your kids to build their dream home, or move their furniture into that large and lovely house. Since you haven't noticed the trend over the last century, brains beats brawn every time; jobs involving being strong or fast are almost non-existent, and those that do exist don't pay well, while jobs involving brains and computer skills are growing and paying very well. P.S. You also responded to another reply of mine in a different comment thread; are you in love with me, and this is your version of pulling my hair during class to get my attention? As I said in the other comment, I am good- I have no desire to complicate my life with the wants, needs, or desires of anyone else. I can take care of myself, and am not pathetic like you are, in needing someone else to take care of my needs or validate my existence. Lol.
