E-ticket is a lot of fun. The last time I was there, I took a similar route and meandered around the NE area for a bit, then took Shepherd's over to E-ticket. That area always feels like I'm pedaling uphill both ways no matter where I start or end up, lol.

I couldn't agree more, and that's why I don't ride it a lot. I'm pretty excited to go back on the ebike, though!

Have you ever done Greer mountain up in Menifee? It’s right off the 215 and loads of fun! Would like to see that on your channel😮

I did some videos on Greer may years ago. I've ridden it several times since, but I haven't filmed out there for a long time. Maybe it's time to do it again!

Have the eMTB but I won't do the bottom part of E-ticket; it's just too much getting it up out of there. The motor isn't enough and the bike is twice as heavy to push. There's another climb back up to the fire road keeping right from where you jump into the bottom part and staying with the road there. Yeah, it's steep too, but it's straight and wide and that's where the motor really shines.

I've been that way once, and I can imagine the ebike handles that a lot better than the techy singletrack climb out. I'll have to keep that section in mind when I take it out there.

Eticket, Emtb. It’s like the Mtb founding fathers knew this is the way

This is definitely an ebike trail. It's so much fun on mine all day.

I definitely need to ride it on the ebike next time!

It is a great little section of trail. Too bad it's tucked away and not near other good single track to make it worth the big climb out.

You climb in AND climb out, its a wild area!
@MTBTrailReview Жыл бұрын
Agreed. I love the trail, but it's location keeps me from wanting to go ride it more often.

I think I was not too far back from you guys on this ride haha. I do this on my gravel bike, its a bit rough right now without suspension but when its groomed, wow! Right now the descents are rutted and loose, the rain has really exposed a lot of imbedded rock, not fun on a rigid bike. same for some of the climbs, I've cleared the climb out, but without suspension I'm not sure you can make it honestly with some of those steps.

Nice! I could see it being fun on a gravel bike when it's in the right condition.

Oh man, it's rattelsnake season again. Any advice on which trails are more or less likely to have snakes (besides this one)?
@MTBTrailReview Жыл бұрын
I would always assume you're going to see them. I seem to have the fewest run ins at Mt. Laguna, but that could be dumb luck.

I was wondering why my rear felt so loose, i lost it so many times this ride. Thought it was just the trail finally drying out from all the recent rain. Turns out it was a loose rear wheel! The temp, spare wheel I threw on de-tensioned thoughout this ride. Wobbled back to the car by the end 🤣.

At least we made it back!

It's unfortunate this trail requires a TON of climbing to get in and out of, especially being one of the only real MTB trails out there.

Rode here last week and I don't see what the fuss is about. It seems like it wasn't built by mountain bikers but cut into an existing hiking trail. 3 fun corners, then a shitty section, climb for no reason and some of the worst berms I've ever ridden, 3 more good corners followed by another out of place climb. Maybe I'm just spoiled by my home trails in Washington state but San Diego trails are not very good. The secret trails are better but I can't wait to get back in the trees.
@MTBTrailReview Жыл бұрын
I haven't been up there to ride, but I imagine the trails in Washington are generally better than the ones here based on the videos I've seen.

We're not allowed to make the trail better for mtn biking. MTRP is technically a preserve so trails are supposed to be to access it, not for enjoyment. Crappy, but it's the situation for most of SD legal trails, Hence why most of our legal trails are boring.
@milspectoothpick41198 ай бұрын
@@kirkriley164 Eh it's mountain biking. Pushing away the piles of softball sized rocks would be cool but other than that the trails are fine. Maybe try a different area around SD? There's a pretty wide variety from what it seems.
