Really detailed vid that is for sure. However E8 error codes are overwhelmingly carbon brush-related. A $15 fix without spending a day testing electrics through a multimeter. Undo the back of the machine, remove the belt, unplug the one bank of electric connectors, and the earth. Remove the two engine bolts and pull out the engine (if stiff spray a little maintenance oil on the bolt holes and it will slide off real nice). Now you have the engine in your hands. look at the carbon brushes, they should be in full connection with the copper accumulator and have at least a couple cm length. If they are worn purchase the part and replace it by removing the one screw on each of the carbon brushes. I have also known that the bushes to be fine but the carbon accumulator is sooted up with carbon, clean the accumulator with a scouring pad so the brushes can again connect cleaning to the sparkling ;) copper connection. This will all take about 10 mins, and if this fails then by all means spend all day on the multimeter.
