I need to live and work in a country for some time before becoming fluent in their language. I have been trying to learn German for years but because there is nobody to converse with in my friend group it's easy to forget. English people are quite lazy when learning languages because everyone speaks English thus eliminating our need to learn other languages.

What I have learnt from the listening excercise, is that I am approachingRussian the wrong way, and that is tryin to know each word..I understood about 1 word in 2 dozen, and some words heard but forgot..meanin...Anyway, by understanding a few words , I can get the main meanin of what ya sayin...
