Beach runs are great but wow does rust happy fast. Keep George safe, he and his rig look toooo good. My twelve year old built one of those a couple years back as her second Tamiya and it looks good, minus the bright blue driver, but yours is off the charts amazing. Keep it up.

There is something special about the wheelie trucks. Love my Lunchbox with just a brushed motor, tried a brushless 13.5t and it was insanely undriveable (back-flips and of course high speed crashes). Great video again Ari!

Thanks. Think you’re good with just a torque tuned in the lunchbox. I wouldn’t even go with that for the Willy. Straight up silver can in the Willy is good for me.

Awesome vid that brought back a ton of memories for me! I had one of these back in around 1985 when I was in college. Sadly later on, I l committed a grievous sin against it by lengthening the chassis with sheet aluminum and mounting a body from the Monogram 1/8th scale 1932 Deuce roadster model car body onto it. It was a blast until I ran it into the tire of a car parked in the lot of the dorm I was living- It exploded into literally a thousand pieces! Man, If there was anything I could take back from doing when I was younger, it would be not the cut up my Wild Willy and the Monogram 1/8 scale '32 Deuce roadster model car (also highly collectable right now). Thanks for the memories- both good and bad! LOL!!

Once I got mine built I really don't drive it too often and it will not be going out on my track. I spent way too much time painting and detailing it all up to scrape it all u on the track so I totally understand not wanting to race it and it does seem to wheelie a lot more than the lunchie. I love the GF01 Chassis and I want a WR02. It takes a different skill set than regular buggies just to stop them from rolling over. Add brushless and they can wheelie for miles, but they can also cartwheel down the block and destroy the body.

@RCRoads Жыл бұрын
I just purchased one and wonder about crashes and roll overs. It will be my first rc build and the painting will probably be quit the challenge. I really don't mind a few scratches here or there but the lights on top of the roll bar probably wont last long. It's definitely not a basher but it seems like you could do some nice stunts with it, especially if you upgraded the motor and ESC. The price is so good that I might get a 2nd one as a collectors item and not even assemble it. Maybe save it for the grand kids. Thanks for sharing this awesome jeep and giving us a better perspective on the Wild Willy. 👍
@RCRetro Жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes its definitely not a basher but you'll still have a lot of fun and it will make you giggle. Its not meant for racing on a track as it took a lot to not roll it over but you def want to get it somewhere in the dirt and sand. As for paint, id recommend priming it first than paint and then clear coat.. and yes you will scratch it if you run it... be prepared.

Also I had a WW2 in say 2001ish and at the time I bought/installed some oil-filled shocks for it but tbh it was still bouncy as hell - the stroke on those shocks is so short they bottom out quickly and then those tires take over. Seems like a nice lightweight lipo would help matters a bit?
@RCRetro2 жыл бұрын
Less weight less wheelie in the rear... however, with a lipo this might be really out of control to run... its worth a shot

What I know of the algorithm is that it prefers videos slightly above the 10 minute mark. A lot of creators try to stretch their content just that little bit to get to that time mark. I would definetly do that as a first measure. I think it's not that hard to do... 🤷♂️

Well, the WW2 for me its difficult to describe. Either you love it or you hate it. For the style point of view, its fantastic. Its vintage and it still looks fantasic today. For the building point of view, the body is more like a static model than a RC car. Tons of painting to do on little pieces and the driver is a challange itself. For the driving point of view, well, I like my Midnight Pumpkin more, because it does wheelies and it is al lot more stable to drive than the WW2. To be honest, for me a WW2 feels not like "driving". Its like you would try to control a bouncing ball with a RC Set. Anyway, after a few runs with my WW2, I decided to make a shelf queen. Added a lot of bling and it looks amazing. For the fun part I use my Midnight Pumpkin
