I completely agree, the shadows are WAY cooler in this version. How they dim around the screen when you're in the dark. All they needed was to add night vision goggles and the game would've been that much closer to old style splinter cell. I have high hopes for blacklist!

You will have a timed marker or something like that. If you handle yourself fine you will get a "boost" on the mark and execute "thing".

@highlylo I agree the controls were weird the first play throughs of the demo, but after a while I realized the old controls were hard to get used to at first too. I think once you start playing the game the new controls will be much more intuitive. If you think of the layout of the controls they're similar to the way Mirror's Edge did theirs. I thought the controls for that game once you got used to how different they were they became second nature. I'm tired of the same controls for e/ game.

@barrak101 in this case it measn you need internet access all the time to play the game and if ubisofts server shuts down, you cant play. Yes it is possible to get a crack where thats not needed but then multiplayer access is denied and thats the most of the game experiance im pming a link to a site where you can read more about it, this was just ubisofts pc version of DRM there are more of them it stands for digital rights management

I've been a SC fan since the first game, bought every1 since. I'm not upset by this new one at all, its nice to have cool change of tone and feel in the series and shows how certain events can change a character from how they used to be. : )

The trick in games like this is to make things as realistic as possible while making the experience fun. More realism means more immersion, which is how you get the player to feel cool, scared and give a shit about Fisher's daughter. Realism, immersion are A HUGE PART OF THE GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE.

the graphics are great. i love how you can tackle it any way you want and be all stealth. i love stealth! pandora tomorrow is the only splinter cell i've played and i thought it was too slow. this is a great that they're speeding it up. glad i can get this on PC

SC is a sequel after SCDA not a ripoff. Many games contain same gameplay mechanics found in other games. Stealth is stealth.

technically they own bioware. mass effect 2 is still an exclusive but anything bioware now puts out could go to different platforms. microsoft can still own the mass effect name,if they even do i really don't know on that part.

Conviction will be released exclusivly for 360/pc.. April release in uk.. Ubisoft still make ps3 games.. But Microsoft bought the exclusive rights for release..

In the demo it shows that you're in D.C. stopping an EMP bomb from being made, and in the launch trailer it shows Sam walking through the White House with dead bodies all over the place, but they never say that it was him who did it. So I guess it turns into something bigger?.. Let's just hope the story isn't as stupid as we think it is... i mean many people have already said that at first its for the daughter but it turns into something bigger. so.. we'll see.

well, yeah, i hope too for the 6 to come back to the NSA, but think that, you can use action or not in the game, i mean, the game gives you a wide sort of option and combination of using stelth or action, i mean, you can break in and kill everyone, or move sthealthly and slide some throats, so, it's even better, cause it satisfyies various kinds of players, with differents strategies.Think it that way, you 'll can kill without anyone notice and be a shadow all the time, but with more tools.

like every new splinter cell game, i cant wait for it to come out. From the looks of it, it will be the best splinter cell game yet. The only problem i may have with it is getting used to all of the new controls and things that you can do (like marking enemies) It will be nice not having to take orders from a superior. Your in control and there is vurtualy no rules.

I kinda dislike how Sam moves too quickly. It seems like there's no transition between different moves. Did you see how quickly he jumped out the window and caught onto the ledge? Or how quickly he shimmied along the ledge? Even with his strength and coordination, it seems a bit extreme.
